    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yes Ms. Haller, the word has bee put out about Mr. Sulwer being a thief and liar on many sites but many sites will not allow such posts to remain and delete them. Some sites just lock the threads and a few have even messaged him banning him from selling on their site.
IMO, It is only the sites that do not care about their members or honesty in general that continue to allow Mr. Sulwer to sell without comment.

Wow that's really horrible. I don't think I'd want to be a part of those sites at all. Thanks for responding.
 
The Vivarium Forums is one of the good ones.
For the bad ones I suggest a little looking around, there are a number of them easily discovered. I don't want to contribute to this thread getting off topic.
 
chris is so close to paying it off . i don't think i could have been as patient.
 
Let’s see it was back on 10-28-08 when Sulwer admitted he stole your money. It is now 02-12-09. That amounts to 108 days to pay off $235 or about $2.18 per day if he had just started paying you at the start.
As it now stands he is paying you in chunks just enough to cost you about $2.00 in Pay Pal fees on each one? :rolleyes:
 
I was going to mention that..paying you back in all these small chunks means you stanbd to lose a significant amount of such a small debt in paypal fees.
 
WOW. I've been reading this thread for over an hour and I'm speechless. Those of you who were ripped off, I have respect for you. I know for a FACT I wouldn't have been able to keep my cool for months while waiting for this tool to pay me back. I know I would never do business with this person, period. There was no excuse for any of this.

On another note, I see a lot of people commenting on him being young, as if it is reason for him to act the way he does. I'm also young, and I would NEVER make excuses like this or show such disrespect for my customers. Don't misunderstand me, I know you're not calling it an excuse - I'm just saying that any person, any age... Should know how to treat their fellow man. Just my 2¢.

Scott, I hope you receive the rest of your money soon :)

Good post. Theft is theft no matter how young, old, well intentioned or otherwise.
 
Still no word from Chris. I said it before and I'll say it again, his willingness to communicate is severely lacking.
 
His honest and honor are also severely lacking.

I only hope kismet bites him on the butt.

this is a shame . he is not making the sales he used to make because of this . all he had to do is be honest and give back the money . like i said befor it is a shame that his brother died and he had hard times because of it , but all at one time has a death and we deal without hurting someone else as we do.this link has gone on way to long ,this is not a joke or has anything funny about it , scott is the last to get paid, and still has not , i myself will be very happy to be done with this link,and being one of the three that were taken i will not leave until scott is paid.
 
You are correct this is not funny and even though I tried to find an excuse for his behavior at the beginning and tried to assist him in making at least one sale to help pay everyone back, I for one am no longer buying his lies. I don’t even believe the dead brother story anymore. His lies are just too numerous.
I’m really leaning toward the belief that he has a substance abuse problem and needed some quick bucks to make a big buy. Addicts are some of the best at conning people.
And how many people did he steal money from?

I know he has tried to sell to Bonsai artists, aquarium hobbyists, gardeners & plant lovers, terrarium & vivarium keepers, amphibian and reptile enthusiasts.
Do you really think that all of the people he ripped off made it to the BOI?
I very much doubt it.

I figure he must be a pretty smooth talker, like most conmen, or he would not have people who I assume are honest people just dismissing this incident. Nor would he have people waiting for him to clear this up so they can start buying from him again.

In a way I am glad that he is such a poor communicator or my name might have been on the list of the victims as well.
 
i almost did not start this link . then i saw he screwed over scott , i told chris i would sell some apple snails and give the money to scott . but he never replied back so i guess that was a no.chriss is trying real hard to sell , but some of that money he is making needs to go to scott,,,,,,,,,,
 
i took the time to read the whole post . i realy don't think chris did anything wrong thier . he sold what he said he was selling and sent out what he said he was paid to send out . if that customer was upset it sounds like he possibly did something wrong from the posts from others . and in this case it wasnt anything chris did , but for us here he oues money for what he did not send out .
 
Unfortunately that is not the BOI and no one is talking emails but it does seem that some fraud was commited to make the sale.
That is unless you by into the belief that Sulwer is honest and the buyer is a liar.
For sure he is pushing all the right buttons to convince everyone he is a great guy.
 
i do not beleave he is totaly honest .it was very dishonest with me and a fue others. if i did i would not have started this link . but also from reading the guy had the frogs about a month then they started dieing . this the guy cant hold chris acountable . i bought some dragons from bloodbank . they were very expensive . well for me anyway. and after a week one died . i was out onehundred dollars but also i knew when i bought them they were being sold at ten days old , very small and stressful ,i was also told that in a fue days they would go up to 350 , so i wanted to save the money and buy young . this is what this guy seems to have done also . should i down bloodbank . or myself for knowing i was getting young dragons and taking the chance ?
 
I am not talking about them dying. Even the OP does not blame Sulwer for that. I am talking about Sulwer telling the OP that they could be bred by May so the OP could complete the school project by the end 0f 2009.
