    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A slim chance of anything coming back, but if you provide enough evidence, there is a great chance of actual charges being filed. Have you notified the authorities down here?

In a way, you are somewhat lucky...those two animals can be replaced easily for under $300, be glad you did not learn this lesson on a 1K snake.

I have, but they said to call my department. Yeah, I know, It was just everything I had, but yeah, I will probably replace them soon.

The posts I saw prior to a PM that gave me some other information made it look as though the OP was coming clean, after the PM, I do not know. I too am sorry, I sent a bouquet of flowers to say so...your street address was 101 Butthurt lane right?

Yes he did contact authorities. Sheriff, family member police etc. They even retrieved the snakes and the shipping expenses. AND
The accused is actually a nice guy according to the OPs pardner, who has proof but won't be showing up here. Hey OP! Are you finished trying to make a mockery of this forum? Enough already! I'm done.
 
Any other information anyone needs? Screenshots, pictures, etc. I am limits to what I have though, mostly picture wise and email wise.
 
I find it unlikely that they dropped your case that quickly, especially with how common these crimes are now. Did you give the police all the information you had? Reporting this to the FBI is also recommended by most.

No no, they didn't drop it, they just said its unlikely that I'd get anything back. Yes indeed I gave them copies of documents, pictures, etc. ok I'll look into it.

True dat! Especially bait from someone who's also so intimately familiar with the old 'red chicklet club'. Were their roles reversed, I have little trouble believing that he'd throw every single one of us under the bus, if it meant getting his property back. The show of righteous indignation sure does work wonders for one's karma rating...but it seems pretty transparent to me. Entertaining PR campaign, though.

Read enough of these threads, you'll likely see that it's fairly uncommon that the authorities are willing to do much of anything at all for herp collectors who've been scammed. It's all well and good to suggest getting them involved, but the reality is that doing so tends to be little more than a symbolic gesture of going through the motions - he's likely on his own.

Read enough of these threads, you'll likely see that it's fairly uncommon that the authorities are willing to do much of anything at all for herp collectors who've been scammed. It's all well and good to suggest getting them involved, but the reality is that doing so tends to be little more than a symbolic gesture of going through the motions - he's likely on his own.

I got a bad rating for using ups, for being hostile (even though others were being rude and nasty), and for someone not believing me. Yep I'm a terrible thief, I'm a terrible person. Seems like others on here in the green "chicklet" club have the right to be rude and nasty. So your telling me that if your whole collection was taken, you wouldn't do anything to get them back? But anyway, I might as well start rating users badly for being off topic! I thank the people who are being nice and who are trying to help. And to the others Why stick with thread if you don't believe me? But anyway. Back to the real topic.

Just an observation:
Others told you it was OK to ship a certain way. It was not.
And here, YOU are responsible for your own behavior and your own posts, despite how others behave.

It's part of growing up, realizing that you can't point fingers elsewhere to excuse your own actions. You might consider working on telling the truth, being courteous, and not listening when other people advise you to do something wrong.

It's funny you say that, because I tend to listen to adults that tell me something is ok, and I only lied to try to end the thread, but regardless. I'll listen to the nicer people of the group and just take it from now on. But now that I'm cooperating, can we get back to the real topic? I've never been through stuff like this, so what happens really? Like when the cops review the report?

The real topic is being able to discern between right and wrong.
You said in the first post that you are working on being shipping certified, how can you do that as a minor?
And as far as listening to the 'nicer' people, you missed my point completely. You need to not go along with something wrong regardless how nice the person seems who advises it.
And 'only' lying to end the thread is still lying.
You have a chance here yo turn around. Don't rationalize and gloss over the wrong stuff, realize it for what it is so that the next time you can make better choices.

I am working on it, my mother will be one being certified, and she will ship. I'll pack the box.i know it is. But it still seems like I'm doing something wrong, I'm over the fact of hope that I'll get a box Tuesday. If I'm not getting it, then I'll do everything I can to catch the person. I don't know what people want me to do to gain respect again though. Believe me, this is about the only place I can buy and sell stuff, and I want green chicklet things but how do I get the respect back? I'm telling the truth now, and I have been for a bit. Now what? Also shouldn't this be taken to another forum/ section to be disussed?
