• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I live within 2 hours of that address, if we can get things sorted out I can help with legally shipping these guys back...assuming both parties wish to play ball.
 
That'd be great, but I feel like is should wait till Tuesday. What should I do? I know the longer I wait the worse thing get. I don't know.
 
There's really no harm in waiting - in fact, other than following up with the police and IC3, it's pretty much your only option. It isn't as if EmeraldBoid is offering to forcibly reclaim your snakes; his offer was dependent on the other party being willing to hand them over for shipping.

Really getting tired of people blasting a 14 year old who came here for help...


This site exists because knowledgeable adults get ripped off, you expect a 14 year old to handle it "properly"??

The contracts may be voidable by the minors, anyway.
Lloyd, I do not believe many knew this person was 14 at the beginning of the thread. I think most here are walking a fine line and trying to encourage responsibility on his part, and several people have offered help.

Yes I understand that, so then I guess I'll wait till Tuesday morning to see if anything comes.

His opening post was to alert people about a scammer, not to seek "help". And I agree with you about expecting him to handle it properly. However, not matter how young, he is expected to handle it honestly. It's impossible to help someone who lies throughout most of the threadand as far as I can tell, right out of the gates. He offered proof he said he had from the get go, yet made people dance for it and still came up short. To get to the bottom of something, sometimes grilling is a necessary evil. If he is too young to take it, then he shouldn't have come here. Oh that's right, the sheriff told him to.
