In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Michael Powell Sunglow Serpents

The buyer initially received the retic on 5/26/11. The seller got it back on 6/15/11.

The seller agreed to issue a refund, of his own volition. Although, following through with it took much longer than can be reasonbly justified. Had he not, this one might have ended up being a bit more of a mess. Equal arguments could be made for buyer's remorse vs. selling an animal that wasn't properly established. Shipping out a snake that's eaten a total of 2 meals in it's entire life, probably isn't something that a whole lot of people would agree with.

This would have never happened if I had got a snake that was ready to be sent to the new owner. I kept her in a 20gal. glass tank with a heat pad and water and hide. The snake pretty much stayed on the hide instead of in it, at least when I came down stairs. I bought a Sunfire het. alb. from Justin McBrayer about the same time and never had a problem with him at all and he was in a 622 vision that is now for sale. I called MP and told him about the snake not eating, I was trying to feed FT, and he said try live, so I bought live at 2 different times and nothing, that's when she would go into the hide. I was told by MP that he had a purple female that was eating now and I asked for that snake but I was told by MP that he would get mine to eat, so why couldn't I get the other snake, ask MP, he's not a 3rd party that is not mentioned, should not be an infraction this time. The bottom line is MP and Sunglow Serpents should stand behind what they sell, Sunglow Serpents and MP neglected to issue a refund when it's due, instead they keep selling reptiles and not paying their past due bills and people on YouTube showing off what they purchased, and the people they owe can see, is that fair? You got to give me some credit, my Avatar is the BOMB, that's the perfect hold on a rat if I had to say so myself, Paul Do you think she's mistreated, so why do you think the retic was?

Before you go tooting your horn too loudly, you put a retic in an aquarium. It's becoming clear that you got this snake for the "cool" factor with little (if any) knowledge of what you were actually getting into. Retics grow far too quickly, are too good at escaping, and are too strong to be put in an aquarium. You put an already insecure animal in a bubble where it could see and stress over everything that was going on around it. You gave it a hide that allowed ot to see all maotion going on in the room, so it chose to camp out on the high ground. The place it could feel most secure, but still complete exposed and vulnerable. Then you played with it etc. etc. You were not ready for a snake like this.

So yes, even if you had gotten a snake that was more well established, with the conditions you set it up in and the way you handled it; you most likely would have gotten the same result.

I don't owe people I don't have anyone else on here complaining of outstanding balances .What you talking about , their is ONE person YouTube (a very happy customer) , I apologized for the long wait I admit I was wrong to wait so long. I issued a refund and you still complaining.
I stand behind all my animals . You are being hard to get along with ,I tried to give you another snake from the start don't even try to say I didn't .You obviously did not know what you were doing cause the snake ate for me several times and I sold it no complaints from the new owner .You new the snake was young you new it had only eaten twice you bought the snake when it was in the incubator their was no surprise , You say the snake was not an established eater what qualifies it to be an established eater ? the snake was eating fine when it left and ate fine when I got it back either way you knew this snake had only eaten twice .

=====This is the main point I am trying to make ====

you knew what you were getting , you are trying to put blame on me for why you wanted a refund ,I fed your snake several times I wanted to send it back and all of a sudden you didn't want the snake or even another snake back you wanted a refund NOT because the snake was not eating but because you didn't have time for it .

You knew the snake had only eaten twice if you didn't think this was well established enough then I would have been glad to hold the snake longer and fed it a few more times , you wanted the snake .

you admit in a post here in another complaint about someone else cause apparently you like to complain , that you had no manual on retics and that you were new to having them .now you say oh I had perfect conditions for the snake , something was not right with the temps , lack of time, lack of patients , I think it was all of the above and then some. Every retic breeder knows baby retcs can be difficult at first but they do come around . Big difference between ball pythons and retics.

I will and have taken blame for my part , in not issuing refund in timely manner, I just feel I should of never had to or should of agreed to a refund in the first place that is my biggest regret .I should of sent you the snake back and refused refund.

Unfortunately, when one is working on an emotional level, this can be the result (making promises to customers suffering from "buyer's remorse"). However, as much as the facts point me (at least) in agreeing with you, you did agree to refund him.

Sorry, where I am...word is bond. You have to have a compelling reason to break your word...I don't see one.:shrug01: Pay him and put him on the "List" of buyers not to sell to.;)

He already did Deborah, the only contention there is the shipping difference, which I think the buyer should eat. He needs to have some responsibility here for his husbandry errors, imo they are the cause of this.

I have just received $325 of the refund but the rest is still short, let me add it up for you,,,$375 plus shipping your non eating snake back $55, you are a little short, thanks, Paul

Darn, I missed that (note to self "slow down when you read").

I agree..buyer should not be demanding to get the shipping back. Why should the seller have to bear the whole burden.
