Back in January, a friend of mine contacted me looking for breeder male boas. Michael Tiller had posted an ad in my sales group on Facebook with a male that had the genetics in the price range my friend was looking for. It was a proven breeder albino 100% het anery. I contacted Michael on my friend's behalf, as this was going to be an export shipment. Everything was agreed and arranged at a total price of 550 shipped.
My friend sent $500. When the time came to send the final $50, an issue arose with the exporter, and he could no longer take the animal. So, I agreed to pay the final $50 to have the animal shipped to my house. During this period, constant contact was made between Michael and myself. He was always quick to respond to my messages and chatted like we were friends.
Once the $50 was sent, I notified him. He let me know he received ot. After that, nothing. We had already had a shipping date set. I messaged him the day before the shipping date to make sure we were still on. Nothing. Shipping date came and passed. Days passed. Weeks passed. I have texted him with no avail, and all my messages on Facebook are being read but not responded to. I (stupidly) sent the $50 as friends and family, so I can't file a dispute, but I demanded my money back. Message read. No reaponse. He refuses to explain why he won't send the snake that's been paid for, he won't respond to anything. My friend is currently trying to get his $500 back as well. Michael is not responding to either of us. I'm not sure what happened or what went wrong. I honestly considered him a friend. Now I'm out $50 and out of patience. Avoid him at all costs, don't be suckered into thinking you're pals and then have your money taken from you while he watches on. There is absolutely no excuse for this.
I'm not sure what the policy is as far as linking facebook messages to fauna. I can post screen shots from my cell phone and facebook messenger if need be. He refuses to defend himself in the feedback groups, so I don't expect an answer in here either.
