Panchlora nivea - Green Banana Roaches, are a perfect cricket-sized substitute that breeds incredibly fast. This species requires a moist soil substrate. Adults can climb smooth surfaces and fly so a grease barrier is needed. This is a highly active and flashy species that is quickly eaten, even by those slow to feed. They also make a wonderful display species and are quite fun to culture.

Pycnoscelus indicus, the Indian Roach, is incredibly easy to culture and produces lots of tiny nymphs. Three inches of moist cocofiber and tropical temps with minimal ventilation is all that is needed for an indestructible constant feeder source. Only the odd male has the ability to climb poorly and a simple grease barrier is enough to stop them. No life stages can fly and their erratic movements make them easily found prey. Sizes range from 1/8" up to 3/4."
