    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

You might want to take a deep breath and then put together a post that explains your side of the deal in detail. The hysterics are not going to accomplish much on this site. Random pictures and wild one line statements are not helping your case at all. The derogatory racial slurs will do nothing nut harm your credibility

I received an Email form you a while ago that states he sent you the wrong anoimal. Your best bet would be to include the Email exchange as part of your next post. You will find that the members here have an open mind if you approach the situation rationally

Even though I am in Tampa, I don't know Mike Alvarez and have never (knowlingly) met him (he might have come in my store when I had it, but I don't remember him).... but, that's neither here nor there.... bottom line is.... no matter what Mike's attitude was (or is), he agreed to a sale, he paid for the snake, he decided (for whatever reason) not to do the deal, the snake had not been shipped yet, and now the seller refuses to give him his money back, and sent the snake anyway instead, because of "principle"???.... Are you guys kidding me???.... Are you telling me that once someone orders something, it's a done deal no matter what??.... As you ALL so rightly told me in the "Davey" thread, if he wants his money back before the deal is consummated, he should get it back.... period!.... In the Davey thread, I was chastised for weeks because I refused to give back a refund because the snake wasn't what I said it was.... here, the snake wasn't even received (or sent) yet, and you guys have the nerve to say that the seller is in the RIGHT for sending the snake when it's not wanted???.... How hypocritical can you get???.... Mike should have gotten his money back with no questions asked.... just because he got mad and sent some stupid emails, makes no difference.... it was Mike's money, and if he decided NOT to go through with the deal, he has that right!.... and you ALL know that!.... I'm just surprised that none of you have the backbone to tell the seller that he is WRONG!.... No emails of any kind can negate that fact.... He should have given Mike's money back and be done with him, but because of Mike's attitude, you are now siding with the seller??.... Please!!

see neil the differnce here being is that mike is a respected and reputable breeder who acurately represents his animals for what they truly are and prices them at a fair and resonable price, while everyone here knows exactly what you are .and yes given a proper reason mike should have returened the money but a cheap attempt to receive a second free animal is not a valid reason. the deal was made, the deal was agreed upon ,the money was sent. as far as im concerned finding a better deal is not grounds for a refund at least not until you receive the snake you paid for and find it not to your likeing, and definatly never never never is it right to threaten the mans wife or him with bodily harm. aND EVEN AFTER ALL THIS MIKE WAS STILL GOING TO SEND HIM A SECOND ANIMAL SO I DONT SEE MIKE AS BEING WRONG HERE
 
IMO,
In all fairness to both parties, monies from the deal should be kept "in escrow" until satisfaction is reached on both sides with the deal. Whether that be the end of the "Gaurantee" of the seller or some other point in the deal that both parties have agreed to in advance. This would tend to avoid situations where the buyers money is possibly "commited" by the seller before the deal is complete.

When the situation turns from the original deal, as in this case, where the buyer is trying to make a change after agreeing to the sellers price and terms by sending money, it should be the choice of the seller how the deal goes from this point. Personally, with the red flag that went up with the deal change, I would have refunded the money, no questions and avoided the headache.

My question for the seller, Michael, is not whether you would have refunded the money, but could you refund the money?
Not impling anything, just curious as I don't agree with the buyers actions even if he can prove a misrepresentation of the animal.

I never sent individual pix because I don't have a digital camera. I told him I would sell him the nicer one - that was 14" SVL - for $225 or the larger animal that has the lesser pronounced stripe - that is 16" SVL for $200. If he knew what "SVL" meant or knew how to use a tape, he would figure out that he got the right snake but you know he is going to wine & cry no matter what. Try posting a pic. that shows the length of the snake from "SNOUT - TO-VENT" & learn how to speak english. I could not post the emails on this form because every other word that this guy writes if "F*CK" & "F*CKER". Such a grasp on the english language. The police do have his emails & I'm sure they will take care of this matter.

Mr. Alvarez has been suspended from this site pending payment of a $10 fine. Any reappearance of this person under a false registration will result in all of his subsequent messages being deleted upon discovery.

The post below came from another thread posted some time ago. Money was never exchanged (so there was even less of a compromise than in the current thread). The person decided to back-off from the deal and the seller posted his experience in the BOI. Guess who the seller was?

On Tesday morning, I got an email from him asking me to call him on the phone so we could discuss the purchase of my Dumeril's monitor.... we spent about 1/2 hour on the phone, and eventually agreed on a trade/cash deal.... he told me IT'S SOLD, and to take it off line (which I did), We agreed that he was going to come to my store on Saturday and complete the trade/cash deal.... About ten minutes ago, I get another email saying that he found one in Orlando, 2 months old, and he WON'T be coming in on Saturday!

And you folks wonder why I DON'T take deposits, or hold things for someone! I went against my OWN rules this one time, because he sounded very sincere over the phone, and I got burned!

Don't get me wrong.... I didn't lose any money and I've still got the Dumeril's, it's just the way he went about this deal that irks me!

Thanks, Daniel.... you just proved my point that it can happen to anyone.... I never said it was the right thing to do, the fact is that he should have just given his money back and been done with it.... did you hear me rant and rave about what this guy did to me??.... No, I just posted it so everyone can see what kind of person he was.... I ended up selling that monitor very shortly thereafter.... so what's your point??

My point Neil, is that you were so upset because this guy found another deal and backed off that you even posted your experience in the BOI. According to you, Mike Alvarez had all the right to back-off from the deal because he found another better opportunity (even though he had sent payment already). Your client backed-off without even sending payment, thus there was even less of a compromise. Nevertheless you posted your frustration in the BOI for everyone to see. The icing on top of the cake is calling hypocriticals all those that posted in this thread in defense of the seller, when in reality you had a similar if not worse attitude.

I don't blame the seller for being upset at what Mike did, he had every right to be, but that doesn't mean he wasn't entitled to his money back.... if you can't see the similarities in my two posts, you're the one with the problem.... I was definitely upset at the way he blew off the sale he agreed to, but, no harm no foul.... I didn't lose a penny and neither would this seller have lost anything had he just sent the money back instead of sending the animal that wasn't wanted........ so you're saying that when Mike got the animal, it wasn't his right to just say that it was not what he wanted and returned it for a refund immediately??.... That seems to be exactly what you're trying to say.... so as long as you don't like the purchaser, everything the seller does is quite alright with you??.... So, you're saying that when a customer gets something delivered to him, he HAS TO keep it??.... That's what you seem to be saying here....

Oh yes, there are a lot of similarities and that's why it was brought up. Both sellers were upset because the buyer found a better deal. The difference: one of the sellers had received payment already, and the buyer before even receiving the merchandise contacted him for a refund. The other seller hadn't even received payment but was so upset that the buyer had found a better deal that he posted his experience in the BOI.

No harm no foul? For whom? You posted his name in the BOI as a heads-up for everyone to see.

Yes, the buyer could have refused the animal if it was not to his liking. Truth of the matter is that what was not to his liking was not the animal itself (he had never seen it in the flesh), but the price he had paid for it.

Is there a need to remind you the deal with the mite phase GTP where the person who bought it from you was really upset with what you charged him fot it? Did you return him part of his money? My apologies if you did, you should have posted it here for everyone to see.
