Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was hoping for an easy morning <sigh>.
I'm not going to lock this thread....BUT, unless somebody has had legitimate business transactions which demonstrate that Mike Curtin is, in fact, a bad guy, there is no reason to post. NO FUELING THE FIRE.
 
JUST BECUASE I LIVE WITHIN 30MINS OF SOMEONE DOESN'T MEAN I'M HIM, NOR DOES IT MEAN THAT I'M SOME "TROLL" ACCOUNT, OR THAT I'M AFFILIATED WITH HIM BECUASE I'VE DONE BUSINESS WITH HIM!!
 
Question: Has anyone ever been sued for participating on this site for libelous statements? It seems to me that if someone damages someone elses reputation and good name, the damaged party would have grounds to go after the person talking crap.

Hopefully, this can be my only post on this matter. This is a retaliatory thread based upon the fact that I respectfully questioned Dan Spencer's identity due to numerous coincidences regarding posts, physical location, and join date he had in common with another member who had just been outed as a scammer. All the proof is in the following threads:

BTW, I keep, breed, and sell Carpets and other Aussie Pythons...wink, wink, shameless plug...LOL!
 
This is my first BOI post even though I've been a member here for 2yrs.

With all due respect to everyone, this thread does not need to be locked. It needs to be deleted.

This is exactly the type of things that are destroying the credibility of Fauna's BOI. I do not know either of the involved parties, although the username "captnemo" seems to ring a bell (possibly a member of another forum that I recall from a year or so ago).

Please, don't anyone misunderstand me, I am not taking any sides. My disapproval of this thread is based solely on the lack of evidence of a particular dealing, or dealings.

The BOI often works like the major media corporations. People believe what they hear/see, and a lot of times it may be just a title of a thread. A lot of people don't take the time to investigate for their self, or to read every post of every thread.

The existance of this thread gives the BOI a black eye. It's things like this that actually allow scammers to continue scamming because people get tired of seeing baseless attacks and completely blow off using the BOI for its original intentions.

If the original poster has any evidence to support their claim, then please, by all means, post it for the world to see. If this can't be done within a reasonable time frame then this thread should be deleted in its entirety.

Just my two cents' worth.

It is nice that there are moderators to keep the peace and fact check some of the BS that at times accures here, but the damage is done. These threads end up like political campains were the facts are not always facts. Mr Curtains' reputation has been hurt by this thread and the thread should be deleted if it is all libelous crap.

Well I can only post my experience with Mike Curtin and I can tell you it was nothing but the BEST one yet purchasing reptiles on line.

Capt-Nemo was a pleasure to do business with and also was always willing to help with questions or to just BS.

Not a good guy but a GREAT guy. Period.

first off mike curtin is a great guy,he is patience and works with people..i strongly beleive he is one of kind..i a trio of normal ball pythons and everything he said was about the snakes were true to the "t".. in my opinion he is real.
 
Y'all don't really need to defend Mike. This is obviously a retaliatory post and nothing else.

Two retaliatory posts in a couple weeks' time. *sigh*
 
This should have been deleted imo. mike curtian is well known and has been nothing but a great guy.
 
Come on guys, you all know that nothing gets deleted from the BOI. Nothing. And to be perfectly honest this thread is only making one person look bad and it certainly is not Mike. And I agree, Mike has always came across as a very honest upstanding guy. Mike's handling of this thread does nothing but further those feelings.
