I am not calling him a bad guy, first off. I just want to let people know if they order from him during winter tell him, to ONLY USE FED EX TO SHIP!!!
I got 4 bearded dragons from him- He was supposed to ship Fed Ex.
I e-mailed him asking about if he was shipping with fed ex, and he said yes. Then he told me he had problems with fed ex and he'd send them tuesday with fed ex. When he told me that my area didn't guarantee overnight delivery, I wrote back immediately to say that I never have a problem with fed ex getting live shipments to me overnight. Then he tells me fed ex basically was too expensive and he'd sent them USPS on Tues for delivery thursday.
When I got the package on thurs, I opened it at the post office. There were THREE heat packs in the box, two were right on top of the beardie bag.
I quickly opened the bag and 2 baby beardies ran out onto the counter-I'm assuming, to escape the smell of rot coming from the 2 dead ones still in the bag.
When I wrote to tell him there were 2 dead, He wanted a picture of the eyes to make sure they were dead-I said that you could tell they were dead in the pics I took-I wasn't going to touch them. YUCK. I had taken pictures of them as they were, in the bag. Here's a pic

He proceeded to tell me that they do not start decaying until after 5 days, and asked me if I have ever had beardies before. I know they were decaying because of all the heat packs in the box!
Two of these were supposed to have been my kids' because they wanted one after seeing and holding my first two from another breeder. As luck would have it the ones my kids had wanted, happened to be the two that died.
I also have some pics of the two that lived.
I'm not calling him a bad guy yet becasue he did agree to refund $100. We'll see what happens.
And no, I haven't notified him of this because I AM NOT CALLING HIM A BAD GUY! Just want people to know that possibly you'll only want to buy from him in spring or summer, or make sure you tell him ONLY fed ex will do. He was very good, and prompt with comunication, and very polite as well.
