• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Mike Gerbino, warning

And also, Dawn, why are you speaking for him? Where is he that he can't spare a few minutes to formally apologize to Angie?

All I'm seeing are excuses; how about instead of blaming communication and claiming he cares about his customers and animals when clearly actions speak louder than words, he just man up and apologize and admit he made a dumb "mistake" and killed Angie's dragons?

I beleive he also told me he had taped the heat packs to the sides of the styrofoam container. There wasn't any tape in the box. I'll have to try and find that e-mail to be sure

I was wrong about the taped heat packs. Here's the e-mail. He e-mailed me again. I haven't read it.
Mike, if you want to respond to me do it here.

This is response to that post on fauna about me btw you are the first person i have had a problem with ever with dragons dieing, also the smell in the bag was poop as i can see in the picture there was poop in the bag plus the animals prob didnt smell great but they dont rot that fast. Also the heaters were placed on top they were on the sides and must have shifted durring shipping. Also the dragons were very hungry because i dont feed dragons the day i deliver so they wont poop but sometimes they do. All i have been is cooperative with you and now you do this. How would you feel is someone is running a business and gives you a bad mean review like this, something like this can lead to people never wanting to buy from me and ending my business but you were the first person that i had to refound money too. So i am asking you to please take that post down. Like you said i am polite and answered quickly why do you have to make such a harmful post on my business and now you are giving me a bad name too. I am asking you very nicely to please remove that post on fauna because it is very uneccesary because you are the first person that i have lost a dragon to.

thankyou

Mike Gerbino

I didn't give you a mean review, Mike. I hoped you would take this as a learning experience.

It was NOT a name tarnishing thread, until you started with all the theatrics.

Here's his last e-mail. I decided to read and post it.

I hope Mike comes and deals with it...really would have been so easy to come on here, say he screwed this one up, learned his lesson and won't use USPS or 2 day delivery, issued refund as agreed upon, and called it a day. Some people would still grill him for using a less than premium sender, but that's all he really needed to do. Instead, what we're seeing is...

If he's in a rush to get something out, he's not hesitant to use USPS 2 day delivery.

He doesn't realize that 2 days is longer than 18 hours...:shrug01:.

And his reputation really wouldn't have been damaged if he had acted like an adult instead of a baby about all this...

I was wrong about the taped heat packs. Here's the e-mail.

you are giving me a bad name

Mike Gerbino

Mike, that rarely happens here. Someone may bring a situation to light, but generally, what sellers/buyers have done and how they handle what has happened, gives them the reputation they will have and often deserve.

He should at least have suggested holding the package at a FedEx hub for pickup if he didn't feel that delivery to your door was possible. I prefer hub pickups both sending and receiving. If he wanted to send USPS he should have at least asked if this was acceptable.

To me, it sounds like he didn't want to pay for overnight shipping and tried to cover that up by saying that FedEx wouldn't deliver to your door. Hopefully, in the future anyone getting this response from a seller will opt for pickup at a hub, assuming it's reasonably close.

What i Dont get is a seller saying shipping is expensive. Umm Factor that into the final price and not a dime comes out of your pocket.

Simple as that, No excuse for not using Fedex for a safer arrival

Our closest fed ex hub is 2 hours away. NEVER a good idea to have a live shipment that's coming to me, held there.

I know, but I don't drive and if it had to wait for someone to get it for me, it'd be there until about 7 or 8 pm. That'd be alot longer than the 2-3:30 pm delivery I ususally get, and they'd be closed by then.
