    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

When someone has more interest in attacking those standing up against a bad guy than he has in attacking the actual bad guy, I think their motives deserve the spotlight. But you're right. My point's been made and it's up to the readers to decide what they believe. I've already given him more acknowledgment than he really merits. Unlike Barry Lambert, 'I'm done'. :eek:
 
I received a $150.00 payment from Mike moments ago. He has settled an old debt. I think he is correct in that he paid me back $500.00 when the original amount was $450.00. Mike could have easily ignored this, but he stepped up and settled.

Still does not make up for the vast majority who are still deeply out of pocket or the cyber bullying or the continual back and forth here on Fauna with "others"

But you have your long awaited settlement, I truly feel you got lucky.....

I was thinking about it today and if Jing wants a replacement snake I would be ok with doing that. However, I would prefer her to choose a CB species that is much easier to keep than the imported species.
 
I really think that Mike can case by case deal with the people that he has had problems with in the past and start to put this to bed. Sometimes you have to resolve a problem even if you do not think you are wrong. When I talked to Mike I told him that my business literally did millions a year in animal sales, and each week gave out credit that we may not had agreed with or knew was not warranted. The Barry and Jay posts are going to take a little more work. If the three of them can take a deep breath and stop answering each post with something to make the other person look even worse, this can die a painful but peaceful death.

And right there you have the crux of the matter....the three of them, Mike, Jay and Barry really NEED to stop baiting and taunting each other and TRY and move on.
Easy to say but very hard to do I know with all the bad blood spilt already

It speaks volumes to see someone swallow their pride and do the right thing. I'm not saying you are 100% at fault in this situation but I think your offer would be a good solution.

As for the you and Jay situation, I got nothing. It is getting kinda silly though.

Mike Matson stated the snake he sold to the OP was a farmed import and the ads he posted as screen shots also include that information.

Jay Sommers and Edward Kowalski have both asserted that there are no farmers for this species.

No one has posted proof either way.

Is there a public list and/or registry of farmers available? If not how can a buyer verify whether a particular species is "farmed" or not when determining whether to purchase a farmed versus wild-caught import?

Whether it is a farmed import or a wild caught specimen is irrelevant, if the OP had contacted Mike after the first vet visit, the resulting drama may have been avoided. As it stands now, Mike is being very generous by offering a different snake species as a replacement.

If he continues on this road, especially with the apologies he has been giving to those that deserve one, he is well on his way to mending his reputation & I may be getting my next pacman from him (he has some nice ones), I would be confident that if something went wrong, he would act professionally.

Not when advertising a critter for sale. If I know a particular species is not farmed so only options are CB or WC, and I ask if it is WC and get a negative response, that leaves CB.

It might have spoken values to Mike's character if he would have resolved this, and many other problematic transactions, as soon as they come up. Instead, Mike has waited until the problems were brought into the public eye and decided to pay his dues ONLY NOW that this latest Barry and Mike tag team has tried to bring down Jay Sommers.

Coincidence that NOW is the time Mike decided to finally repay 1 of his victims, as he and Barry are trying extremely hard to give themselves credibility as this latest fiasco here on the BOI unfolds? I'm sure.

Integrity is what you do when NOBODY is watching, not when it gets drug out into public for everyone to see and several BOI threads down the road. Thats called getting caught. Someone that gets caught in numerous shady behavior does not deserve my money or business. These are living animals we are talking about, and if you have a suspect character I will find a better one, trust me.

I don't throw my wholesalers under the bus as they buy thousands of dollars worth of frogs from me yearly. They received them as farmed. They were advertised on the list as farmed.

She did not message me with any issues for 40 days. Then sends and email demanding a refund or she will post a fauna bio.......

Not the way to go about it
