Absolutely amazing. Marianna, I am so sorry that I left you out. The past few days has been a bit stressful, and my memory is having a very difficult time keeping up. By the way, this is the email I sent to Paypal after my conversation with them. Poor lady...I'd be surprised if her eardrums were still in tact.

As promised during the phone conversation I just had with someone at Paypal, here is the link to the thread on a reptile message board regarding Michael Shoemaker, who has now RIPPED OFF 12 of your customers.

There are two particular posts on that thread that shows Michael Shoemaker using two different accounts to steal these people’s money. Those posts are numbers 174 and 235. On the reptile message board, the post number can be found on the top right corner. The following links are those particular posts.

He used Ebay to scam these people with auction numbers 290184091837 and 290182113105. He sold 12 Playstation 3s to unsuspecting people, took their money, and since I helped him move last weekend (with these people’s money) into a new apartment, and he has his clothes and a brand new computer. There is NO WAY he could even have 1 Playstation, not to mention 12. The guy hasn’t held a regular job for several years. The total amount he has stolen from YOUR customers is about $4,530, including shipping charges. The auctions were held under his mother’s account, matchbox315. Just so you’re aware, his mother is supposedly in a nursing home.

The person, Michael Shoemaker, supposedly had his account frozen, which was [email protected]. He is now receiving money, and is currently transacting from his mother, Sherry Shoemaker’s Paypal account, which is [email protected].

We have collected, currently, about $2,000. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO PROTECT YOUR CUSTOMERS? After disbursement to YOUR unrefunded customers, the leftover money will go to a children’s charity.

We have also attempted to reach all of Michael Shoemaker’s victims through Ebay, to let them know what’s going on, and they can have their money back, no matter what YOU determine, and Ebay is being as uncooperative as Paypal is. Paypal did nothing to help me when Josh Sharp ripped me off even though I presented them with tons of evidence to show it.

Let's just hope it does help. At least the woman I spoke with earlier SOUNDED like she was paying attention. I guess we'll see about that.
 
We are going to need some validation that people paid for these PS3s. They're going to have to show some documentation before we pay them anything.

Let's face it, suckers like us are targets for bad guys and I don't have any desire to pay some scumbag who's smooth instead of a real victim.

Amen to that, Mike is a lazy scumbag, always has been. This is sad, truly sad.

Mr Paypal, what if this was your children? How would you feel? I spend a lot of money with your company, however at this point I am thinking very hard about other ways to collect my payments. The way this is being handled is really sad, if this is the best your company can do. I might need to look into other options for receiving payments as well as making payments. Feel free to check your records on Varnyard Herps, Inc.

I am beginning to think Ebay and Paypal are out for themselves only. Based on personal experience and from what I have heard from others, they can't be bothered helping out people that got ripped off.

They are out for themselves and as you, I and others have found out their buyer/seller protection plan is only there till you need it and then find out your not covered. I imagine that if anyone at Ebay is paying any attention (which is doubtful) they might be looking at the their legal side to all this.. Heck if I were involved in all this I'd talk to a lawyer to see what Ebays liability is , they were warned and it doesn't look like they acted on the warnings to protect their customers..

As for Mike jeez I can't believe this has gone on as long as it has.. Sadly have to give the guy credit for playing folks like a fiddle he sounds like a real pro at this game and no he wouldn't and never will kill himself(at least not unless someone sort of helps him) It was just a tool to use just like the tools we all use at our work to get the job done.. Unfortunately he used those tools on people we know here and respect but if it hadn't been these folks it would have been someone else as this is what the Mike's of this world do they Play you for their advantage.. Mike was hosting through Rich and had just recently renewed. Rich cancelled his hosting and donated the balance to the fund.
 
OK, I guess I did read that and somehow spaced it off. Raising the caffeine intake as I type.
