    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Can anyone that lives in Tucson check the local laws regarding "Larceny by false pretenses" and anything related to that?

He had called me and told me his "story" I was warned that this is how he does/did this to people to gain trust. To basically try to get more info on a person and maybe, eventually... use it against them? i dont know, but i just feel that he was trying to win me over somehow by calling me and telling me all of this "information" and it wasnt right. i want no part of that crap.

I'm not sure if "Larceny by false pretenses" has much to do with what he's done but it's just something we can look in to. By the way, why is there not an edit button? Most forums allow you to edit your posts. :confused:

This is like no other forum.:)

There is a edit function in the other forums on this site but not the BOI. What is typed here stays here. Several other rules are specific to just this forum as well.
Including full names with posts.

FULL NAMES are required on each posting you make on the BOI. Anyone failing to adhere to this simple rule has subjected their message to possibly being deleted. Anyone using a false name may be subjecting ALL of their messages to possibly being deleted as well has having their account removed from this site upon discovery.

I am going out on a limb and expect a lot of flak from people by providing this forum, so if you are not willing to stand up, state your claim, and put your name on it, then I'm not interested in providing you the space to make anonymous accusations. Such messages will be deleted as deemed appropriate in the individual circumstances surrounding the message.

YOU have to take responsibility and ownership of the words you post here. So take great care in how you craft your statements. Once you submit your message, it will be here PERMANENTLY, no matter what happens afterwards.

Due to the nature of the Board of Inquiry, the editing of posts is disabled. This particular forum deals with legal issues and facts revolving around a person's business ethics, character, and facts pertaining to business deals. Editing is disabled to prevent someone from changing their story or completely removing statements after they have been made.
The ability to edit posts on the remainder of the site is there, but it may be linked to user level I'm not sure.
 
And another effect of not being able to edit is redundant posts like the one I just made must remain because Dennis types faster than I do and we replied at the same time. :D

Mike has ripped off some people that were trying to give their children a nice Christmas. Fauna members are trying to help. The cutoff date of donations is December 17th. Please do what you can.
 
This is a highly charged emotional issue, good folks have been robbed of their hard earned money, others have lost countless hours on the phone soothing the savage beast and I am sure that many would love to throw mike back into a closet and lock the door.

Civility needs to take precedence here, paypal is reading as well as ebay folks.

I agree. I and the other mods have let a lot of things go on this thread that would have received warnings on other threads but let's cut the crap about Mike's sexuality. It's irrelevant and any further derogatory comments regarding it may be subject to warnings.

So that the families have time to buy Christmas gifts~ and because while we all feel bad that Mike has ripped these families off.........we are not responsible for making wat Mike did "Right". Most of us have been ripped off in the past on a reptile deal~ thats how many of us found the BOI in the first place~ and we don't usually hold a fund to repay the unfortunates who are ripped off. This is a special circumstance because we all feel bad that it was Childrens Gifts at Christmas that were basically stolen. Usually when we hear someone has been ripped off we sympathise~ we commisserate~ we try to get the theif to "do the right thing"~ but we rarely open our own pocketbooks. This is a Christmas thing~ not about making what Mike did "right".

Now that is just plain the worst, ripping kids off that need aid. It can't get any worse than that! He deserves whatever he has coming to him. That is horrible, & very nice to have a fund to help out!
