In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Mike Shoemaker - Rebel Dragons BAD GUY

I have to admit, this is probably one of the crappiest things I have read about since the beginning of the BOI. I have been trying to stay neutral about all issues that show up in this forum, but in this instance, that just is not possible.

Mike Shoemaker has been hosting his website (RebelDragons.com) with me for a while. Please note the words "has been". I terminated his account, with prejudice. The money he used to pay for the hosting (along with my own donation) will be sent to the fund Dennis has set up. For the record, for obvious historical reasons, I generally do not support using this site in such a manner.

Interestingly enough, this is the PayPal account that was used for this payment:
Payment Received (ID #869381381U911283B)

Conversion to: Corwyn A Best
Buyer Email: [email protected]
Payment Sent to: [email protected]

Date: Nov. 2, 2007
Time: 10:37:28 PDT
Status: Completed

So it appears that even back in November, Mike was using someone else's PayPal account.

All I can say is that is one damned despicable thing for someone to do. To specifically target a GAME machine, that would likely be targeting children is about as low as it can get.

How do you like that Mike? Even one of your victim's is donating to help all of your other victims.

Minus some paypal fees. I felt it was just easier to keep a running total of the total donations. A complete total minus all the paypal fees will be given when it's time to dispurse. I'll also put up a screen shot of the PayPal page, with all names redacted to protect those wishing to remain anonymous, at the same time.

So that the families have time to buy Christmas gifts~ and because while we all feel bad that Mike has ripped these families off.........we are not responsible for making wat Mike did "Right". Most of us have been ripped off in the past on a reptile deal~ thats how many of us found the BOI in the first place~ and we don't usually hold a fund to repay the unfortunates who are ripped off. This is a special circumstance because we all feel bad that it was Childrens Gifts at Christmas that were basically stolen. Usually when we hear someone has been ripped off we sympathise~ we commisserate~ we try to get the theif to "do the right thing"~ but we rarely open our own pocketbooks. This is a Christmas thing~ not about making what Mike did "right".

Makes sense, everyone that was scammed is grateful for what everyone here is doing but we never expected any of you to "make it right". :)

Good morning..afternoon everyone!

Thanks again!

Charlie Brown: Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?

Linus Van Pelt: Sure, Charlie Brown, I can tell you what Christmas is all about.
[moves toward the center of the stage]

Linus Van Pelt: Lights, please.
[a spotlight shines on Linus]

Linus Van Pelt: "And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not: for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.'"
[Linus picks up his blanket and walks back towards Charlie Brown]

Linus Van Pelt: That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.

Those are my feelings also. Targeting kids is the lowest thing someone can do. I just wish Mike was up here in my city or targeted someone in my jurisdiction. He and I would have been getting personally aquainted in short order. But, I have faith that Tucson PD will have him in custody in short order as long as the victims file their reports.

Because I do know how Mike is, I would like to encourage the victims to get those reports in quickly. Mike is KNOWN for disappearing, and I have no doubt he is working on that as I type.

Okay, guys. It's my understanding that ONLY four people on this list have been contacted, redsox-fan, schoons01, eddieabrigo, and oinkette 72. Ebay will only allow us to contact one person, since we don't have transactions with them. Could 8 people please contact the remaining 8 victims, referring them to this thread, and come back here to list who you contacted? Pretty, pretty please?

For anyone who doesn't "get" Ebay...like me, you have to click on advanced search. On the left side of the page, you'll see Members. Directly under that, click find a member. Enter matchbox315. The feedback screen will pop up. Once you're there, click on the item number of one of the two auctions. Once the auction screen comes up, in the top section you'll see information on the auction. One of those things is bidders list. Click that, and you will see the winners. There are six for each item number. Click the individual winner's name, and you will be offered an option to contact member.

Thank you!

Tere,

I was going to contact everyone last night, but didn't want to duplicate everyone's efforts. I have all the buyers info and will forward this link to them today. Thanks for the follow-up!

I couldn't get the option to contact them by clicking on their name only by clicking on their feedback # which is next to their name. I contacted 603mike41090.

It never ceases to amaze me at how some people can have so little regard for the next person, especially a child. The best thing about this whole thread,is good will always overcome evil if people come forward and do something about it.I still believe there are some good people out there, and this just validates that thought.

There are about 9 of them. All have been part of this thread. Well, maybe a few more than 9 but not many. Still, all have been part of this thread, whether everyone knows of them or not.

Seems that we are all of the same opinion that Mike Shoemaker is not a good person to do business with. However, his good guy rating appears to outrank the bad guy rating. IMO, this needs to be rectified.

Does anyone want to vote? We may be able to prevent this kind of incident from happening to another person.

Forgot to add that you need to click the number next to their names to get to a page where you can contact them. Just click the "contact" button on the upper right side.

I was able to get a message out to 6 out of the 8 remaining PS3 victims, however, I apparently hit my daily limit of emails to Ebay members. Could someone please contact the last 2??

jessika1907 and locolombiana?

Thanks!

That ebay account was his mothers account. That's the only reason he had 100% feedback up till now.
