    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have to ask though....if I have a package of "live" anything coming, I make sure that I am right there to receive it. I may not be quite as diligent when it's a batch of crix or other feeder bugs coming, but if I had a large shipment of live reptiles coming, you'd better believe I'd be right there at the door before the delivery driver had a chance to set foot out of the truck, more less leave it on my doorstep unattended! How on earth did this happen, twice even?

Nothing has changed, Dale....you were offered a refund, and turned it down.....then they again said you could have a refund, all you had to do was ask.

Now I asked you if you've bothered to contact them other than stomping your feet here. Not sure what you think has changed. :shrug01:

this is from the very first post on this thread on 5/19/08.....well with no claim being made i don't see that happening even after all the drama over this order still no phone call why would people hide behind email?makes one think what was in the package a brick dirt who knows we are to the point now that we would like a refund as his wife offered per email / so this showes i did accept the offer and stated i would like a refund on the first post.and its now the 27th still no refund they are in illionois im in mich next door to each other .it took 2 days for them to get my money order .but we received nothing as of yet so i think it showes bad buisness on there parts. :yesnod:

Hide behind emails? Emails are good because they serve as evidence in a transaction. After seeing your lunacy in this thread, if I were ever to deal with you (after I'd received a verified report that hell had frozen over), you bet your butt I'd communicate with you via email and have every element of our communication in writing.

Brick of dirt? That's a serious accusation. Why don't you calm down and start thinking straight. You'll get your refund. Why don't you give it a week, and then come back with more crazy-talk if you don't have it by then.

Dale.....all you ever had to do was simply email them like a grown-up and say, "Yes, I'd like my refund since this doesn't seem to be getting resolved". Would that REALLY have been so difficult?

The fact that Mike has remained polite and professional through all of this, especially after some of the off-the-wall accusations and ill-tempered posts you have made only shows that his business practices are nothing but positive. Until you started posting on here, as far as I can tell you had left it as agreeing to wait for the refund until they had a response from DHL, and then you come on here making all kinds of unfounded accusations. How people handle their "difficult" transactions/customers speaks volumes. Perhaps you should try to take a step back and see how you would have reacted if the situation were reversed.

i have thought about it .if the custemer wanted to wate for refund as i was willing to do .and wanted to place another order as i ask to do .i would have acomidated them as im sure they have critters to feed so my goal would to be to help them get them fed.and as for mikes statment about a magic porch .we already proved i never said stolen packages fact 1 shiped late..fact 2 wrong tracking number..fact 3 told saterday by 5 not friday...fact 4 dhl leaves package out side on my steps.not on porch where a normal person would put them....fact 5 i didnt get roaches...fact six listened to people run there mouths about things not pertaining to thread.more worried about ones spelling and such....fact seven...still no refund............................ :angry: so think what you will.its a free country and by the way i def would have picked up a phone and called custemer.i think that would be good service and better way to comunicate..im out have fun with this
 
I was in the market for some dubias, and saw this thread - after seeing how Mike & Antoinette were handling this issue, I bought from them. Great communication, I got just what I ordered, not a dead one in the bunch, and they continue to be courteous in e-mail. I'd recommend them and I'll definitely be buying more supplies from them.

Dale, I think where he got the idea that something was stolen before was mentioned in post #50 in this thread. Mike posted an e-mail in which you said:

If theft is not actually what happened in that case (it's hard to understand what you're saying there), I can at least understand how Mike got that idea. On first read-through, it sounds like you are blaming a previous theft of $3000 of beardeds on the high school across the street, but I guess what you are actually saying is that DHL dropped that package without getting a signature and it _could_ have been stolen because of that, but it wasn't?

Either way, it would be helpful if the seller knows ahead of time next time that you have had issues with DHL doing a drop-and-run so they can try and take precautions (perhaps shipping with someone else) or decide whether they even want to take the risk with shipping to you.

or it could taken like we hada problum befor so it doesnt surprise us ......but the purpose of the boi..is fact or facts ...not ones assumtions....like i have said many times it was poor comunication on both parts or even lack of..

And like I said, it is difficult to communicate with you because you do not type very clearly (which is what led to my "assumption" - more of a misunderstanding of whatever you were saying because you do not type clearly).

When I e-mailed Mike and Antoinette I had no problem understanding what they were saying, but I'm having issues understanding what you are saying in a lot of your posts here. It might be in your best interest to start to use proper sentences including punctuation, and making use of a spellchecker, especially if you're entering into a deal in which money changes hands, so everyone can understand your concerns.
