    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone dealt with Mike of Mike's Modulars? How did it go? I am interested in a couple of LTC (1997) nice looking female balls he is offering for sale.

I've ordered a rack system from him.  He should be shipping it this week.  So far I've had no problems with him.  I'll let you know how it turns out.
 
I bought a male from him recently. The sale went ok, but I have to say he's not the best businessman I've ever dealt with. Evidently there were several people interested in this snake, so instead of choosing one and telling them it was theirs, he told all of them to send the money! Later that day (luckily I hadn't sent the money yet), I got an email saying nevermind, someone local was getting the snake. Turns out they never showed, so I got the snake, but if I had been one of the other people and had sent the money, I would have been very angry to find out it had been sold to someone else. In my opnion, when you tell someone to send the money, they should be the only people you say that to. By telling several people to send the money, without letting anyone know what he was doing, he probably ended up with some unhappy customers who assumed they were the only ones sending money.
 
Thanks for the replies. It seems no one dealt on live reptiles with him though. He posted two really nice looking adult female balls but they are not exactly cheap. They are posted as imported in 1997 (don't have reason to doubt about his word) but I would hate to pay that much for fresh WC imports.

mike told me of this practice as well.  he said that he routinely does it and has only had money show up from two individuals one time, and he returned the money of the person whose check showed up last.  he actually told me that he had the cage i purchased from him sold but if i sent my money order next day and it arrived before the person who sent theirs std. mail, then he would sell me the cage and send their money back.  make of it what you will...  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>
i personally will never purchase from him again due to his extremely negligent misrepresentation of the size of the cage i ordered.  i mean, how does a 4'x2' cage THAT HE BUILT end up being 42"x16"??  that's a lot of space!  when you multiply the sq. inches, the 4'x2' works out to be 1152 sq. inches where as the 42"x16" works out to be 672 sq. inches.  that's almost half of the floor space!!!  you know, now that i think about it like that, i'm really pissed.  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':angry:'>  combine that with the fact that he removed one of the heat lamps that was supposed to come with it ($20), and he said he would put a new coat of laquer on it (which he claims he did but there is no way because the cage came to me extremely dirty inside and out and if he put a new coat of laquer on there, it would have sealed in the dirt) and now i really feel i have been ripped off.  too late for me to do anything about it now though (if someone disagrees, please tell me and i might pursue this, but i think it's too late).  i have been trying to sell this cage for over a month now and can't!  i paid $160 for it and spent another $110 on heating supplies and i can't sell the whole package for even half of what i have in it.  i wouldn't have to worry about this if he had honestly represented the cage to me.
anyway, getting mad will get me nowhere now.  guess it's back to hittin' the books!  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
