I'm... actually pretty sanguine about deals gone funny in the money department. While I've been fortunate for the most part, I have been overcharged for services, such as by the guy who half-spayed my cat while fixing a diaphragmatic hernia, but charged me for a proper spay (about $125 difference, as the other vets determined). I don't do much buying over the internet, and especially not large amounts, for this very reason.
I personally, as have friends and family, found that spread out, reserved and somber complaints have created more action in educational and employment settings than constant complaints. It works by being effective as a contrast. Greatlakes had a couple posts in his main thread that, because they were concise and boiled down to "been a few more days, STILL no refund" and thus I spent some time grumbling *for* them because, as I said, I understand how aggravating it must be. Especially when the seller was someone with such a good reputation! But! That is indeed nothing more than personal opinion and experience, and certainly not a rule to be enforced or anything.
I certainly wish to everything I'd never bothered to try and show greatlakes why proper spelling and grammar would help clarify his point, because all I've received were insults in return. I realise that I should have simply ignored the thread after that, but I am merely human and got annoyed by such a return on something that was merely meant to help.
As such, the ignoring will commence after this post. If he wants to PM me about the offer of $50 towards his refund, he may, but I'm not reading these anymore.
