    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Oi... Just browsing through the different species of monitors. A while back I became fascinated with the larger monitor species (much to my luck I ended up falling in love with AAAALL the wrong/hard-to-get/impossible-to-get species, like varanus varius/Lace monitor and the varanus giganteus/Perentie monitor <~ probably my most favorite monitor. I drove all the way to Dallas just to see them at the Dallas Zoo. xD)

Going through the water monitors, I came across something called a Mindano Water Monitor. Is the Mindano the same thing as a Yellow Headed water monitor / Philippine water monitor / ? Just locality specific? (Not sure if I'm wording that right.)

@ would anyone possibly know of a decent/respectable breeder who works with v. cumingi /Philippine water monitors?

On a side note:
In a year or two I'm getting the chance to actually visit the Philippines with a friend's family (they have family there) and It's possible that I'll get to see some of these depending on where the family will be, how long we say, and if I get the chance to explore the area.

To my knowledge the Mindanao locality of Varanus s. cumingi has never been imported if it has it's been in extremely few numbers.
Cumingi themselves are very rarely imported and as far as I've been told their actual trapping locations are kept a big big secret just like the sulfers. I also am unaware of any cumingi breeders here in the us. I believe there's one in the UK but that information is a year or two old and so unreliable.

And message John A. He's the man and know the most about Salvators and their localities.
