In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Rather an odd morning for me.
I live 15 miles east of Oakland CA and am currently working in Union City
There are 2 ways I can commute to work.
The traffic report said 880 south bound had an accident so I took Niles Canyon road
At 5:20 this morning in pitch black diving though Niles Canyon the hill gave way and rocks hit my car.
Omg.
Never in a million years could I have imagined that this could happen to me.
I mean really!!!
I am ok but this ain't gonna be cheap.
Still in shock.

I am so very glad you are OK. I can just imagine the kind of havoc and injuries that might happen in such a situation. Is the car insured?

Thank you Lucille.
I appreciate it.
I am about to take it in to the shop.
We are insured but if is not that bad I'm thinking of paying cash.
One nice thing is it's mainly only the tires, rims and suspension.
It wobbles like a cartoon car so I drove it home like 25 miles all on the back roads because I'm a penny pincher.
I am still shocked and haven't gave it a complete inspection yet.

I'm not a car person but suspension sounds like an expensive word. Is it?

Oh wow that's super scary! Glad you are okay but sorry to hear about the car.

I build things.
Used to do hotrods but now as I've gotten older I don't even change oil.
Suspensions...they are easy to rough in then they need a $100 or alignment cost.
My brother said he will fix the bodywork.
Rims and misc parts from a wrecker,
Big O tires said $650 for new tires.
Total should be right at 1K.
I'd do a claim but have had 2 this last couple years.
