    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My name is Michael Hunte and I help out Paul Miles at the Boa Barn. I am writing this post to inform all that we had a hatchling desert female ball python stolen from our facility between 12/20/11 and 12/23/11. I wanted to wait a little while to post this to give the guilty party to return it but they have not done so. The Boa Barn is a private facility with very few visitors especially during the time in which the desert came up missing. I am not here to accuse people or to start any problems with anyone I simply wanted people to be aware and if you have any information about our snake or the person who has it please contact either Paul or I. The snake could not have escaped due to the fact that her tub was closed when she was noticed to be missing, and last I checked ball pythons are not very good at shutting tubs behind them lol. Thank you for your time and any information that can be provided. We care very much about our animals and would be equally upset if this was a normal that was stolen.

Thanks,
Mike and Pj

that sucks man, hope you find whoever took her. 4 camera security systems are pretty cheap these days even on ebay so might be a good investment

I agree that even for a small collection like mine, a security system is mandatory. Good luck finding her though.

Thanks guys we appreciate the kind words, and honestly we dont expect to see her again but it would be great if we did. We are looking into a good security system but all the years the boa barn has been operating we never really had problems like this before.

I hope their conscience catches up to them and they realize they are headed toward a dead end.... and i cannot imagine a thief giving any animal the proper care needed... probally just trying to flip it, but it will end up back at home, just hope soon for the animals sake! Sorry for yalls loss, but hope it turns back up soon!

So customers roam freely? Do you have a picture of this snake? No offense, but with the constant drop in value of female deserts, everyone has one and it would be a little hard to find it unless someone admits to it.

No customers do not roam freely but sometimes when someone arrives there is a small window of time from the time they walk in to the time Paul or I get to the front to meet them. We dont have a lot of people come by and 90% of the people who come over are friends or loyal customers. We do have a lead as to the whereabouts of our desert and are working to get her back as we speak!

I know how it feels to have a stolen snake... That's why I'm sooooo careful as to who comes over and NO one is ever allowed in my snake room alone, even if I trust them with my life. There's a few friends and business partners I trust very much and I won't even allow them in there.

There's only a couple people I allow in there alone. My life partner and a business partner of mine that is also a member of this forum. She's also a very close friend. :)

I don't even let my son in there alone.... But that's cause he likes to play with the rats and I'm terrified he will get bit one day.

I hope you get the snake back and have contacted the proper authorities so justice is done. No one should get away with this. They won't learn.
