Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Missing Leg Tank Setup

I am receiving a southern leopard frog with a missing leg on Tuesday and I am trying to figure out how to set up his tank. Should I give him a shallow water area to make it easier for him to get in and out and have few things in his tank so he doesn't have issues with trying to climb over anything? Or should I give him a deeper water area and more hides and cork bark and such and go from there after watching him for a while to see how he gets around?
 
I once found a Northern Leopard frog with a missing hind leg. It was scrawny and nearly dead, so I brought it home.
I set it up in a planted vivarium with a small water dish. I put smooth rocks in the water dish so that it could easily get in and out. I was worried that it would drown in deeper water.
It thrived for several years. Because it was off balance, it's back grew at an angle to compensate. It spent most of it's time in the water dish, and despite what I thought was a good setup, it eventually did drown.
So my suggestion is to use shallow water, with easy access.
