In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

If I said he is one of the biggest liar in this industry, I won't be too far off. After reading these posts, I emailed Mitch and asked what happened and I got a response so I decided to post them. He threatened that I would be out of business if i posted...so that is a challenge I have to accept. I wonder how long it will take for him put me out of business....lol. Here are the posts. they are long but you can judge what kind of a liar he really is. He just seem to make up things as he goes. Most egotistical, self promoting liar I have ever "not met." If he really are breeding all these reptiles, with his egos, he would have posted 1000s of photos on line bragging. And what's with him telling everyone and posting that he works at major wall street firm. If he did work there in a major role, we would have seen his business card by now. Enjoy as I am trembling with fear that he is going to put me out of business now and I can't think straight....what a nut! It might be easier if you read this from the bottom to make some sense.

Oh please. You are the biggest liar in the business. I know almost everyone in the industry and they laughed when I mentioned your name. They all basically said you talk big but never delivers.

Hi Mitch,

When do you think you will be ready to ship your first shipment of bearded dragons? We can start with smaller number like 500 a week....if that works for you.

Thanks,
Ty

Well....the problem is that unless I am sure that I will have them and when...I can not offer them to my customers.

I'll work on getting you a date. I'v been swamped with demand for my animals. I usually have large quantities of White's and White-lipped tree frogs from Indonesia, that I use as feeders. Leopard Geckos only sell for a few dollars each, so I usually stay away from them.

Ty, that does not sound like a threat. He did not threaten to do anything to put you out of business. You called him a jerk and he said you should be out of the business, both were statements, neither were threats.

Ty, it looks like you and he were negotiating, and prior to an actual deal he chose not to do business with you. I am not in any way backing him and do not know him, but he did not issue you a threat.

The BOI Laundry Room! Come here and air petty grievances? Is it just me or has the historical purpose of this arena been hijacked and perverted to now a place to hash out personal affronts? Seems to dilute the intended purpose and integrity of the BOI.

Bill

Bill,

I think that this post gets to the character of who he is. he promises things and string you along and all of sudden he stop communicating. If after all these conversations, if he was a good person, he should have at least let me know that he has decided not to sell to me.

Ty

I agree with Lucille on the threat part, I don't see anything about ruining anyone's business at all. Maybe I'm reading things wrong, but I'm perceiving it as a continuation of his message before that.
"Behm Family" <[email protected]> wrote:

Kinda like "If you don't care for animals, you shouldn't be in the business of animal care" or something. Not that you don't, I really don't know, I'm just saying what I think he said there.

That said I still feel that if he had decided not to deal with you earlier, he definitely should have told you then instead of just leaving you hanging. You shouldn't have been left wondering all that time, I don't think it's right... Pretty ridiculous time too, did you send any more emails between August of '11 and March of '12?

"I agree with Lucille on the threat part, I don't see anything about ruining anyone's business at all. Maybe I'm reading things wrong, but I'm perceiving it as a continuation of his message before that. "

point taken. I thought he threatened to put me out of business if i posted but I see your point now.

if you really want to see who mitch is i think you should here it from is ex employees i have never heard anything good i'm with ty on this. i will get them here so you can here the truth about all this crap that these people are talking about.

I don't know Mitch from Adam but I just don't see where the initial poster was actually monetarily hurt in this whole deal. It appears to me his feelings were hurt and obviously based upon his posts they share a difference in approaches and philosophies.
Is it necessary to run to this forum to air personal affronts? To inform is one thing, to have subsequent posters pledge to find "former employees" to chime in just smacks of a witch hunt to me. There are plenty of people we come across in our daily lives whom we have issues or conflicts with, what happened to just moving on?
All to often lately it seems someone starts a thread, good, bad, or indifferent, but then all kinds of people come out of the woodwork and pile on and totally steer the thread far from the initial subject and denigrating into settling old wars.
I guess I'm just waxing nostalgic, I miss the old days when someone made a post, the opposing party or parties offered a rebuttal, and we, the readers, we're left to our own devices to come to our own conclusions.
Kinda' thought that was the basic premise behind the genesis of this Forum?

Bill

Billy,

Tell everyone your real name, not your alias.

Lucille,

You're correct, I sold the animals to others that are members of this site. They are welcome to confirm. Ty is not somebody that I wanted to deal with. What he did here is post only a few of our email exchanges and changed the wording on some. He's coming at me because I'm taking away some of his business.

Mitch

OK please....that's funny. i haven't change a thing. why don't you post your emails then. you corresponded with me after i told you i supply Petsmart and you even offered me CB....(haha funny) whites tree frogs after that. And how many bearded dragons did you sell...all 6000 you had? Can you provide who you sold those 6000 to? And please stop pulling numbers out of your***. You don't want to sell to me because 50% of my animals die...really...no one will be able to stay in business if they lost 50%. And what business did you take away from you? I don't sell to any of your customers...none. How many stories can you make up?

Unfortunately, the bigger my business gets, the easier the target. Let Billy tell you who he really is, how many of my animals he's purchased and name his friends that I terminated, for cause. I'm not going to out any ex-employee for obvious legal reasons here in CA.

What Ty did was eliminate any email that was unflattering to him. He also changed the wording in several.

You can get a feel for Ty's attitude when you realize that he supplies Petsmart and Petco with tens of thousands of animals from the much larger number that he purchases. I've watched too many animals die from ex-employee negligence. I've hired and fired too many industry "experts." Philosophically, I want nothing to do with Ty and his disregard for the life of animals. Remember the lessons learned from Global Exotics when they were raided.

Mitch

Please let me know what parts I changed and I will post the entire emails. I copied and pasted so that it would be easier for everyone to read. I have not deleted any email. And as for providing Petco and Petsmart, 15 years ago when they approached me to supply them, i was hesitant but I have decided that I can help them better take care of their reptiles as an insider instead of people who does nothing but throw stones at them. We have made tremendous improvements since and we are always looking for a better ways to provide for the animals. Between them, they have more than 2000 stores and I visit with the corporate people yearly and I know the hearts of these people who truly love animals and wants to do everything they can to provide for them. Because they are so large, there are always going to be issues with some employees not doing what is best in store. People have bad days and lazy some time that becomes an issue. I would not be their vendor unless I know they are doing everything possible to better themselves. They are two huge corporations doing so much for our rights to keep animals. Without their clout, PETA would have better chance of winning. And as for bringing up Global Exotic...what that has to do with us? You should stop dodging the questions and answer them. What part of our conversation did I change? And really, what proof you have that I have no regard for the animals.....that's really funny. If you compare my farm and your facility...it would be no contest.

I have no problem with Petsmart or Petco, its the animal dealers like you that are the problem. If they knew the risks that you pose to their businesses and our industry, maybe they would realize that you're not the answer. Lets call them tomorrow and see.

To all the keepers out there, what happens to a shipment of 10,000 baby dragons or white's tree frogs; 1 day, 3 days or 5 days after receipt by Ty. Can you guess the mortality rate?

Wes made an earlier comment about FB in outdoor cages in Indonesia. Can you imagine Ty's farm? Can you imagine the FB baby Ball python losses in West Africa or here? We know that there are quality breeders that can handle the ethical part of supplying large chains, think of Bill Brandt of The Gormet Rodent.

Mitch
