In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry MJC Serpents...

I do NOT have ibd going around in my collection. the snakes that are for sale are at This Side of Paradise Pets, nowhere near any of my personal collection anyways. Sad all the lies being spread about me. A year and a half ago I had my first snake die after having her for two weeks. She was extremely skinny and dehydrated and too far gone. The night before she died she displayed neuro symptoms that all snakes display before they die for any reason. My mistake for saying it was IBD, I just had no clue and that's what I thought it was. Suvks that my misuse of words has caused this unnecessary blasting that has no conclusive answers. None of my snakes are sick and around 20 people have bought from me. I have yet to hear of a collection loss after buying one of my snakes and I also have yet to hear of a true story regarding a snake that I sold being sick or dying for a reason not buyer's fault.

You also said you "never heard of anyone losing their collection to IBD":

Yet the seller you bought from lost most of their collection to confirmed IBD (your own words), and you knew that before you posted that you'd never heard of anyone losing their collection. Just saying.

Then why list it from your personal account and include all the racks and cages and incubator? Why would a "store" sell the racks with the animals? Then everyone asks why you're selling YOUR collection?

In reply to telling the buyer not to have a necropsy - I DID suggest it to him.
in reply to why i was selling my collection - i was NOT selling the collection through the shop. i was selling the personal collection due to having my rent terminated and needing to move to a small apartment. I had put my horse up for sale too. But I called it all off. My personal animals are here to stay and I don't care if I have to take out a loan to keep them all just to get into a big enough place where they can all come with me.

I read some of the stuff on Facebook and it looks like you sold one of your snakes to someone local, since the photo had a small kid in the picture with your snake hanging on the child, in a pet store setting, and the adult thanked you for selling her the animal "and when they act funny, she spends hundreds at the vet". I can only guess you are selling your animals through whatever pet store you work for or have been partners with for a two months time period. Something isn't adding up.

She met the girl who bought "Creepa" at a local pet store before the shop in Canterbury was even open. There are a lot of assumptions being made about things that are just not true, plain and simple. This stuff happens to everyone who puts themselves out there. Mindy's trying to protect others' reputations and it's hurting her own.

Crystal, I see you share Mindy's last name. Related I assume?

I find it interesting that Mindy claims to be a "partner" in this store venture, yet she's barely 18.

Mindy's advertising for the shop in that ad. Not her personal collection.

If that is the case, why does she have HER name as a watermark on the photos? There are "shop" ad's, then she has her ad's for her ball pythons for sale as well. Like I said, something isn't adding up.

I'm her mother, yes. I think Mindy should be more cautious about what she shares with the world. The assumptions and misconstrued information are a product of the evils of social media. As for the pet store in Canterbury, she's affiliated with the store. Partner isn't a term I would use. She does advertising for all the store's animals and products and basically consigns some snakes through the store. I guess breeders who work with others are partners.

The store owner allows her to use "MJC Serpents" under the store name, as the snake section is pretty much "hers" to add to, sell from, etc.

Our rescue mare died over the winter. She was Mindy's, but the poor mare's past neglect caused her too much harm. It was a very difficult thing to put her down, but the vet encouraged us that it was the right thing to do. We have two other horses and neither of them are for sale.

Aside from the IBD topic, Mindy also seems to enjoy forcing her snakes to interact with her other animals -- including predators like cats. Then she laughs when her ball python gets "scared" after it gets the crap smacked out of it by the cat and gets spun around:

(Mindy deleted the original video on Instagram after she was exposed, but someone with forethought recorded it beforehand in case it was needed)

Then there are these:

Mindy also seems to have a very difficult time keeping her snakes in their enclosures, dealing with MANY repeated escapes. This would also make her level of secure QT a bit questionable:

Mindy used the term "Partner" and calls the store "hers".

Is Mindy over 18?

All I can say is that I've repeatedly told her she's way too forthcoming with what she shares with the world. I've also been very upset about the snakes that have escaped their enclosures, but she is absolutely not the only one who has had this happen. Many others have talked about their houdinis, too. They just don't share it with the world.
I'm her mother so I'm sure whatever I say won't be too highly regarded. We love our animals and take very good care of them all.

Mindy is 18. I don't know why she's using those terms with regard to the store. Perhaps she thinks it will make people take her more seriously? Honestly, though, what's the big deal about that? She impressed the store owner and he offered to bring her into his shop to develop the reptile section. She gets paid a percentage when an animal from the "MJC Serpents section" is sold. It's a nice opportunity for her. She enjoys it and they enjoy having her.
