In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry MJC Serpents...

Instead of making excuses get the tests done, post the results and over time if your truly sincere about your care for the animals and your business it will show. All the time you spent typing those posts you could have been working on putting strict quarantine procedures in place and posting lots of evidence of what your doing right. Your words don't mean anything when your not practicing what your preach.

That ^ is why we are not posting the results. Even if I post them, you'll find something else. It does me no good, so why bother.

Mindy, the AAZV lists IBD incubation as lasting up to 4-5 years. (Link to the pdf listed below.) Even if you don't post results, i think you need to have the tests done and available for those wishing to purchase from you. It's incredibly important.

Exactly!! It's like the pot calling the kettle black.

If you indeed have the tests results and you post said tests in an unaltered condition, and those test show that your snakes are clear of IBD and any other possible contagious disease, it will do a world of good for you if you plan to continue in the reptile business. And it will ease the minds of anyone reading this BOI thread and is still considering buying snakes from you or Andy in the future.

It will also show a mature honest attempt to clear up the negative attitudes that your continual refusal to show tests results have caused. Grandstanding on this issue of refusing to show test results is doing nothing for your credibility in the reptile world.

And don't worry about adding me to your "Blacklist". Please do in act! I can assure you I am NOT a member of any reptile groups on Facebook. Especially any that pretend to be anything close to the BOI here on Fauna!

Okay, i got the okay from andy to post the results so long as I pay for them myself. He was going to pay for them. So now I have to cancel a bunch of purchases and save up for that. Now if we can stop the false accusations and continuing to plaster factless information here that is ruining business for us, that would be great. If you expect me to act professionally maybe you should consider how you're acting too. I was just having a nice personal conversation with someone i dont even get along with and it wad quite nice. It's really not that hard to sit and talk with the person privately to get a clear view of a situation before making up stories to blast everywhere. Thank you to that person who contacted me directly. Now, I am going to start saving my pennies and will have the test done with the results within three months. $500 i think was the quote i got for three tests - Ferla, Paramyxo, and IBD. It may have ben $600. And that's not easy for an 18-year-old with 50-some-odd snakes and two horses and a car under her care when she only makes $300 a week and $80 of it goes in the gas tank. Otherwise, it would be done tomorrow. I also work overnight shifts and 10 hour days, sometimes more. Is giving me a chance too much to ask for? Probably. But maybe someone will.

Now, if its possible for any of you to act on a professional level - please list your specific requests. Are those three tests good enough for you or what else will i need to bend over backwards to do for you to please you? I'd like to have everything i need on hand in one shot.

That is the first adult thing I have heard you say. Take responsibility, and do what is right. We are not out to get you, we only want you to do what is right for your animals and the reptile community as a whole. Having animals is expensive and vet bills and testing is a part of that. Random testing every few months will give you and your customers peace of mind. It isn't just about selling and buying, it is about caring for your animals and caring enough about your customers to pay out the extra money every so often. I look forward to seeing the results.

Now, if its possible for any of you to act on a professional level..

..says the one that has just admitted to brazenly lying to everyone - again. Considering the fact that you and your "partner" are the only ones who stand to gain anything from having the tests done and publicly posted, your belief that you're in a position to be dictating terms is as laughable as your little martyr routine. You wouldn't be here if not for some belated interest in self-preservation, so let's not pretend that you're doing any of us any favors.

No Mindy. You are scaring off business due to your own words and attitude. No one here has said anything to you that isn't true. Instead of learning from people who have been around for years, you chose to argue and ignore everything being said. No one is being mean to you. No one is lying about you. Your own words are the ones being used against you. All everyone wants is for you to take this seriously and learn. Just because you don't see it as a big deal, it doesn't mean it's not. You are selling snakes to the public. What you do affects everyone. You need to take a step back and act like an adult who wants a career and not as a teenager who acts like they know everything. I have a daughter who is 17, so I know this behavior and see it often amongst other teens in school with her. My daughter's classic response to everything is "I know". I see you being that same way. Like I tell her, even if you don't like what's being said, be respectful and listen. You may learn something.

So honored that I made your stalking list because of the above post. Seriously Mindy, grow up. Step away from the internet for awhile and think about what you're doing to your future.

You can learn from this and correct your mistakes or you can keep making it worse. I may not have ball pythons or be in any of those groups, but I definitely know plenty of people who do. If I point them to this thread, do you think they'll buy from you? Most of the people on your list have great reputations. Learn from them. Stop being so defensive. All anyone wants is for you to take things seriously. Not to make us happy, but for yourself and your animals. Especially for your future customers.

I really hope that you can change. If you don't, you will not go far in the reptile community.

I should have added this before I hit enter.

Keeping reptiles is expensive and you will continue to learn everyday. Things change and you will change with it. But you need to be open to it. Your care and husbandry will continue to improve.

I breed leopard geckos. Once I found out there was a test I could have done to test for crypto (pretty much lethal and highly contagious), I had my animals tested. They weren't showing signs or anything like that. I did it for my own piece of mind and also for my customers. As soon as I had the results, I posted them on my business page for everyone to see. Did I have to test them? No. But it was the responsible thing to do. The cost adds up, but it was definitely worth it.

Maybe the one was not spelled right, or I am not familiar with the test ... what does ferla test for?

The other two, yes please have those 2 tests run on Dexter and at least one boa (if you have any)

Please remember that images posted to the BOI MUST be attached as file, rather than using an external hosting service. Refer to the revision in the Rules for Posting thread in this forum, or the New Infraction Added thread in Feedback if you have any questions.

Is there a way to do that via mobile? Currently Android only lets me attach one image, not 4.

I wasn't aware that all the images that I have posted weren't allowed as IMG files, so I am going to repost all of them as attachments just in case the links that are linked with the photos now, magically go poof today, next month, or in a year or two. Sorry if this throws the thread for a loop and these stand out a bit wrong. I just don't want the evidence possibly to disappear and no longer serve a purpose in this thread. I hope you all understand.

Ferlavirus is a separate strain of Paramyxovirus. They require two different PCR evaluations.

I would also advise contacting UF about testing for BPNV as well, if a PCR is available.
