    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Of course Seamus saved it, he is far from a simpleton. It's been read by almost everyone who cares to see it.

The thing is, YOU mr. clark, saw fit to change it, which IS a bozo nono. This IS something that you knew when you did it. The thread had been closed by a Supermod for a reason. That reason was to PREVENT exactly what you accomplished by re-opening and changing that ad.

mr. clark, you are not a good guy, in my opinion and you seek to take advantage of newbies by wording your ads in such fashion that they seem to offer more than you can reasonably guarentee. That is the behavior of a bad guy.

Well, I guess I have had just about enough of mr. pollock. Been thinking about this a bit, and came to the conclusion that mr. pollock does have his uses on this site. Particularly in reference to is personality being put to use against the bad guys. Unfortunately, mr. pollock can't seem to turn off that attack mode when outside of the BOI. So a solution is in order that capitalizes on those capabilities where needed, without the drawbacks that such a personality running loose on the rest of the site entails.

Soooo, my intention is to LIMIT mr. pollock's access on this site SOLELY to the BOI, where his personality will do the most good, and yet not inflict the rest of the site with what is in my opinion unwelcome behavior.

Wes, to try to be fair about this, since you are a paid member and may want to post classified ads here, please PM me with what particular classified forums you may want to post ads in, if any, and I will give you access to them as well. But for all intents and purposes, I am quarantining you in the BOI so the rest of this site does not have to deal with you outside of that arena.

Quite honestly, it came down to either this option or just booting you out completely. In my opinion you are completely incapable of interfacing with other people on this site without being condescending and sarcastic. Quite frankly, I don't need it, and think there are a bunch of other people who don't need it either.

And yes, I fully realize you CAN be a problem within the BOI as well. But at least you will be much easier to deal with being limited to that one area.

So, did your "game" have this contingency in it, mr. pollock?
 
Oh, and for the rest of you, THIS is not the BOI in this forum or in this thread............... I trust this warning is sufficient notice....

Rich, I attempted to find the link but it was late and my mind was ready for bed. What contribution needs to be made in order to reach Mod status? Is it $75 so an additional $50 more than my standard contribution? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I did not want to start another thread with such a simple question. Thanks.
