In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi all,

Does anyone have any recent experience buying cages from Monster Cages? Their prices are reasonable and they come fully assembled, but I can't find any recent reviews of their products so I'm reluctant to drop ~1K on a couple of 6-foot cages and pedestal. Plenty about AP, Boaphile, and Proline, but not much recent I can find on Monster Cages.

Thanks for any help.

I have two of the 8'x30"x18" enclosures that can be divided into 2 4'x3". I purchased them used from someone who was getting out of boas. They seem well built, are very easy to clean and maintain, and keep temp and humidity very well.

I can't comment on the company's customer service as I've never dealt with them directly, but have no complaints about the product.

i havent dealt with matt martins (monster cages) cages before but he and I might work out a deal on a trade for my super dwarf retics for some of his animals. he is a great guy, responds quickly and very professional, not just the sell you a product and never hear from him again type of guy. 10/10 i'd have no problem dropping 1000 on his cages.

I haven't purchased cages from Matt, but I did buy a snake from him and the transaction went very well.

I had a major order with Matt for my showroom display cages (for my future exotic pet store coming in early 2014 in Chicago) ranging from 18x18x18 to four, six and eight footers with dividers. Total of 64 cages, which he did in the span of roughly four months which isn't too shabby :). They look amazing and are tough as can be. Matt is a great guy. Matt as he was great with understanding exactly how I wanted the cages, from appearance to exact dimensions. I will definitely be ordering more cages in the future... And probably some boas too!
