    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I sent this guy Ryan, also morrow lee from Kentucky $200 via western union for what he claimed was a blue black Axanthic Ball Python.He had a sob story about recently getting divorced and needed to desperately get rid of all his animals regardless of price.He has atleast 3 adds that I have seen on reptibid classifieds.To make a long story short I sent the money to him and still no snake,and he wont reply to emails or when I call his home he answers and trys to disguise his voice saying he is his brother Joe and he sent the animal.I have contacted the better business burea and im in the process of filing fraud complaints on him as we speak.Its guys like this that make these auction sites bad.His number is 606-832-0080 incase youve been hussled.
 
How did you send the money? (Paypal, money order, etc.)

Do you have additional contact information: address, email, etc.?

Have you complained to Reptibid? Did you win this particular animal in an auction, or did you see it advertised elsewhere?

It wasnt posted in the auction he has classified ads posted on reptibid like 4 at least he goes by the name Ryan or Morrow Lee, I wasnt really expecting him to give me a 2200 GRAM axanthic female for $200 ,but I figured even if he gave me an Adult normal female weighing 2200 grams Id be happy.I am sure he has suckered others.I paid him by western Union also I havent notified reptibid as of yet, because I was hoping he'd send something or return my money before I really made trouble for him ...Rob

He didn't have it posted in the auction he has like 4 different ads in the reptibid Ball python section his email address is [email protected] ,he goes by the name Ryan.I didnt notify reptibid as of yet because I was giving him a chance to make things right ,by either shipping an animal or refunding my money before I make real trouble for him. I wasnt really thinking that he was selling a 2200 gram female Axanthic for $200,but I figured even if he was lying about the Axanthic thing I would have been satisfied for a 2200 gram normal female at worst,but to my surprise he didnt send anything at all..his number is 1-606-832-0080.. What was the exact name you addressed the Western Union wire to? It may be possible to track down the guy's address and home phone. The number he gave you is a Kentucky Alltel cell phone.
 
Morrow is probably his last name (it's a fairly common last name.)
There is a Lee Morrow in Leitchfield, KY .
There is also a Ryan Morrow in Dexter, KY.

For future reference, I've never heard of a reptile deal where the seller requested payment through Western Union that wasn't a scam.

Never send money western union for purchases. This is a classic e-bay scam. The person does not have to show any ID, just have the western union number for the transaction.

I did a google search and got hundreds of hits on western union scam. Here is a quote from one of the sites:

"Update 17 May 02 - TAG has been receiving emails revealing a new twist on the old WU wire transfer scam. The seller will tell you that he can insure your safety if you send the money to them but only provide the control number and use a fictitious ID. Once you get the item you purchased, you can then give the seller/scammer the correct name. One seller/scammer said you could have a secret question and answer, and the money would only be released to the person having the secret Q&A. This is NOT TRUE!!! All the seller/scammer needs is the control number to get the money. UPDATE 9 JUN 2003: We have now heard that the seller/scammer does not even need the control number to get your money - all they need to know is that the money is coming and they will get it."

Looks like your ball python is still up for sale.
It is also still available according to him.

Even though you already paid for it.

And since he got your money...he has since aqcuired other morphs. other "het" pythons.

don't know yet what kind of pythons or what they are het for.
but they are het for pythons.

Call the Sheriff

If he actually lives in McRoberts, it will be easy to track him down. It is a very small town of about 1,000 people in Letcher county. Just call the sheriff of Letcher county and talk to him. See if his deputies patrol that town or if McRoberts has their own part-time force. Who ever is patroling the area will probably recognize the name. Even if you do not have proof that he actually accepted the money at Western Union, the police can still go to the door and talk to him and the family and hopefully scare him straight.:2gunsfiri
 
It is really funny how this boi works. You can make ten great deals and look here to see how the supplier is dealing . Usually you find out the people are on the up and up. I first seen this post minutes after it was put up. Thank god for me!! I was also purchasing a pair of hets from him and 11 sub adult balls.I call him to tell him people were makeing statements about him. He denied ever talking to you. I told him you got the same line of bull he gave me. He still clames not to know you. So not only he is selling snakes that never show. He has the nuts to continue to try and sell to me. I just want to say thanks for the original post you saved me a couple of bucks. And as far as his shipping and email they are correct from the last mans post.

Can you post his phone # so Rob and anyone else that he stole from can contact him for reimbursement.
His address and phone # should also be useful to his local police if Rob should decide to persue this.

because I know he already sold the female.....but never sent it..... I think the guy who started this thread was the guy to send him money.

I also know that he is trying to sell the pari of blue black axanthics to a "friend" of mine.
As a matter of fact......my "friend" is ready to "send" him the MO overnight through ups.
And he says it is available. and they have finalized the deal.


so it looks like this guy keeps selling the same exact animal to anyone who would send him money.


oh yeah. when I get home I will have to get his phone number from my "friend".
the number he gave my "friend" differs from the number he gave everyone else.

In fact the number he gave my friend actually traces to a real house..
unfortunately the house it traces to is about 13 miles away from the address he is passing out.

He also tried to sell the same "axanthic" female to me, and like the other responder, I figured if it was just a decent-sized female ball python then it was worth what he was asking. Fortunately, I offered him a different deal and am not out $200. I contacted ReptiBid and asked them to bar this user from posting ads in the future but have seen no response from them.
