    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was sorting through my dubia bins and I found this little guy. I thought he was neat, so I decided to take his picture. ;) He has a mosaic look about him that I like.

Looks like he just shed his skin and the pigment is starting to return. They're pure white when they shed. Neat photo!

I have seen them white (post shed) and have seen them with their coloring coming back in after a molt, but never in a pattern like this. Learn something new every day! ;)

Neat!! I don't even have anything to feed them too and I can't wait to set up a colony.

Are you going to try to prove it out :D

LOL! They are addictive. I have started keeping some species as pets just because they are so much fun.

Almost a full day later and this roach still looks the exact same. I am trying really hard not to give him a name and his own special tank. He's still in the tub with my nymph colony, but he's really easy to spot when you move the egg crates around so I won't accidentally give him to a dragon. ;)

I found one similar in my colony. Now idea how she ended up like this:

That was taken a few days ago, but I'm about to go clean the tub and I'll let you all know if she's still 'mottled' like that.

I think that would be a fun little breeding project! Who knows, maybe white dubia roaches would be easier to catch for reptiles in naturalistic vivaria, since they'd stick out against the dark background easier?
