    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi all,
Please beware if "jay" at Mountain Herps.
He advertises on kingsnake.com .
A little while back he sold me a "100% healthy and feeding"
Blood Python. The snake arrived second day are via u.s.p.s.
when I requested and he agreed to next day via UPS.
The snake has a tumor on its head, a very severe resp. inf.,
worms, a prolapsed hemi-penis, and was double impacted (two
sets of feces and calcium balls). He still has not eated.
We took 2 hours to work out the impaction which was the cause of the prolaped hemi-penis. His resp. inf. is almost cleared up after 3 weeks of anit-biotics. He has been wormed
but hasnt deficated so we'll probably have to some more rounds of wormer. The tumor will be operated on but not until
his health is up to it.
"Jay" at Mountain Herps agreed to refund money and has since
changed his email address from aol to earthlink. Won take my
calls etc....
Please do not do business with this man. If nothing else, learn
from my experience with him.
(Btw, I did filed reports to kingsnake, FBI internet fraud, etc..)

I got a very large female from Mountain Herps about a month ago.  While the animal arrived in the condition advertised, the shipping could have used some help.  She was in a large box with no insulation and a few "handwarmer" style heat packs.  I live in MN, and I didn't think I would have had to explain the box should be well insulated.
 
Ben...Ya know...I've never met anybody with worse luck than you when it comes to buying herps! One of these days, you're going to learn WHO to buy from! If you don't know the animal....KNOW THE DEALER!! ....Neil

I bought some rat cages from an ad he had on Kingsnake. He did not ship on time (a week+ late) I paid his FULL asking price because I needed the cages shipped right away. I tried to contact him several times and got no return emails. I got the cages and he did not send the water bottles! (full price and no bottles and late shipping)
I contacted PayPal and disuted the charge.
1) The cages came too late. (I had to get others)
2) The cages came without bottles. (still not usable)
I got an email from him within an hour of contacting Paypal. He seems to use many email addys. (msn, aol, etc)
He agreed to refund some of the money and I stopped the complaint with paypal.
I would not use him again.
