    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

hello me and my husband were thinking of moving down to florida this coming april from pa,neather me or my husband has ever been down there and we know theres alot of people that use fauna that are from there.our question is what part of fl would be a nice place to start out in.neather one of us has work lined up and were gonna start out by ranting a apt we got $10.000 saved up and that should be good enough to last for some time till we find work.any feedback would be great.thanks for taking the time to read this. :)

I've never lived in Florida, so I may not be entitled to much of an opinion. However, I travel to different parts of the state every few weeks on business, so I've been to most of the major areas.

1. I love the relaxed atmosphere of Tampa/St. Pete.

2. Ft. Myers/ Naples is full of wonderful little neighborhoods and communities. There seems to be a good balance between affluence (Sanibel Island) and working class.

3. Ft. Lauderdale and surrounding areas: WOW! Lots to do, pretty pricey, unbelievably beautiful.

4. Miami: Couldn't pay me to live there. Traffic, traffic, crime, traffic, and more crime. YIKES!

Now, I don't know what fields you work in, but I would suggest looking around at least online for the entire state in your fields, and seeing which area seems to have the most openings listed. Then, check out the important things to you: crime, schools, cost of living, etc.

What I've found is that every location has good and bad to it. The key is finding the good and trying to minimize the bad. It's all about your lifestyle.

Good luck!

I live in ft myers florida area and would say it depends on what your looking for? I would say if your into snakes and dont mind sometimes busy area's I would say tampa is were I would move as they have more to do good area's and bad area's but a big selection of night spots, food, sports , reptile shows in tampa etc..etc.. Good luck in your move..........what kind of work do you 2 do? what back ground?

I have lived in florida for 15 yrs. I lived in ft. myers for 8, then naples for 5, and now I currently reside in Ft. Lauderdale. The job market down here is going to be stronger than anywhere else, that is why so many people are moving here. The area you want to move too depends on what your looking for. Fast pace and beaches move to South east coast, slower paced and beaches move to the south west coast, amusement parks and no beaches move to central florida. $10,000.00 is a lot to have saved up, but it goes fast. The property value down here is going threw the roof and a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment (something half nice) runs about $800-1300 a month depending on the area. We have a condo that we rent in deerfield beach for $1200 a month (it's a 2 bd. 2 bath. It just depends on where you want to live, though I think south florida has more jobs available than any other area of florida (don't quote me on that). Good luck!
