In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I HAVE done biz with Willy and the snakes were just gorgeous!!.... Very easy to talk to and work with.... He emails back immediately and he's very personable on the phone.... you shouldn't have ANY problems with him...

Neil

Well, I hate to contradict, but....

I have a little problem going on with Willy and if anyone could please tell him to answer his phone, that would be great! Several animals were purchased from him including several CB Timber babies(black phase), He sent all the animals except for the timbers which he said he needed to get permits to send to me. He then stated that he couldn't ship them out because he couldn't get permits. Then he said that he would send a moneyorder for the money paid for the timbers($600), Well for months now, he is either not home(according to his wife) or he just plain doesn't answer the phone. I even sent his Probagger bag back to him that one of the other snakes were in. This has been going on for months and is getting quite rediculous. So my only question is...WILLIAM BEARD....WHERE IS OUR DAMN MONEY THAT YOU PROMISED OVER AND OVER??????? I will be fair about this, IF he pays the money back that is owed, I will post a good guy post about him and apologize on this forum for saying anything negative.

I have never done business with him. However I have inquired about some of his animals on a couple occasions and never recieved a response. To me that says alot about someone and how they do business.

yeah, I am not sure what to think....

The other animals were awesome that I recieved. But when I hear excuses and then get no response after hearing "a moneyorder is on its way" for the money owed, I am having a hard time believing there are good intentions at work. Like I said, I will publicly apologize if I recieve my money back.

A friend of mine recently purchased a baby red pygmy from him that was sold as eating well on it's own. It is not. After my friend, who has many years of experience tried to feed the animal as it was described to him by this seller the animal still refused for a month. I have since been force feeding the snake with the instruction to him that he needs to contact this seller and tell him to take back the snake and refund the purchase. I will update this post with the outcome of this either positive or negative.

Hmmmm...Odd.

Though I've never personally dealt with him before, I've heard PLENTY of great things about him from others and from what I can gather, he has a rather impecable reputation...there are some people's opinions on this thread (hmmmmruuuumphhoreganushmmruuuuuumph) that don't suprise me, but I'm suprised by others...

I met him at a hot show in PA, (our tables were next to eachother) and he seems like a very straight forward honest guy.

As for the Pig, try a nontoxic salamander species, they love em. Sometimes snakes stop eating after being shipped or vise versa. I will bet a salamander will get the Piggy feeding readily.

Chad Bachman

Chad, thanks for the suggestion. I am aware of what they eat. I have been keeping hots of a multitude of species for many many years and was a vendor at the Hamburg show way back about 12 or 13 years ago until just a couple years ago. That is not the point. The point is this animal was sold as an established rodent eater. It was also paid for as an established rodent eater. If it was not, the price would have been a fraction of what it was. Once they are established rodent feeders they do not go onto salamanders. Sometimes it is needed to get them started, but not later. So I guess it was never eating rodents as he claimed, eh? Also, it is not my animal, I do not have the time or desire to run around to pet shops looking for suitable prey. I am just ensuring it is alive and well for my friend.

I was not going to post this information but since so many people are convinced as to what a great seller this is, he also shipped the rattlesnake as non venomous. That is always smart. And by the way, why doesn't he respond to phone calls, emails or this thread if he is such a stand up guy?

Evan,

The only thing I said was that I HEARD he was a standup guy, and it is well known that good guys can turn bad overnight.

If he is shipping hots as non-vens then that is a major no-no. Things like that are going to make this hobby obsolete in a few years. I went to his webpage Mr. Bigz Snakes and the only contact info I could dig up was an email address. I'm sure you already have that...and I agree, that kinda sucks, I personally would like a phone number made available to me when I'm buying something.

Well, enough said about him if he is shipping hots illegally (no good). Yep, I have been going to Hamburg since it started, and keeping hots that long too, and sorry if I offended you with some good advice. This is why I usually don't try to help people out anymore (let them figure it out on their own I guess).

Sorry for the worthless post, and good luck with the animal, and getting everything straightened out.

Chad Bachman

Chad, you took my post the wrong way and misunderstood the point entirely. Thanks for the advice, I meant that. I already knew that. All of that is besides the point. When you pay top dollar for an animal that is feeding voluntarily on rodents that is what you want. Red pygmies like that sell all the time for $200-400. An animal that will not eat on it's own, for starters would never have been purchased, and is worth what? $50-100? Maybe. That was my point.
