• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

my 1st snake!!!!

Number one, I feel sorry for his snake. I'd bite him too. Aren't retics THE LARGEST cb python available, potentially at least? It's very rude to ask for advice and then spit in the person's face when they offer help. If I were his mother I would teach him some manners. That poor snake, being shoved in a tiny aquarium...my burmese is 40" long now (she shed twice in 3 weeks, so I must be doing something right, lol) and I just went to a reptile show in SLC, Utah and purchased an 8'x4'x3' habitat for her, the 50 gal. aquarium seemed too small. She seems to like it, and despite the fact that burms are not tree dwellers she spends an awful lot of time climbing the synthetic branches and rocks. Btw, droogieveshch (?), I've never heard that burmese are aggressive, just that there have been some accidents over SFEs because they are aggressive feeders, but everywhere I've done research it says they are normally gentle and mellow, just watch out when feeding them, and, of course, there is the potential for injury because of their size/weight/strength. My burm is the first I've kept, so I am by no means an expert, but she has only struck at me once, and that was when I first got her and she was still adapting. I tried to feed her the 2nd day after shipping and she struck defensively at the dangling food item, otherwise she has been completely docile. Of course, she is handled at least an hour daily, upwards of five hours, so maybe she is an exception. I am not arguing with you, just making an observation ;)

If your mother wants you to get rid of it, the responsible thing to do would be to return it to the pet shop or to contact a rescue organization. It is not the snake's fault that it is in captivity, and "throwing it away" or turning it loose is immoral, unethical, and irresponsible, not to mention completely lacking in compassion. I love snakes myself, as well as all other animals, and having dominion over them should not mean that we put them to death or at risk of death by exposure, predation, starvation, etc. for no reason. That snake's life is all that it has, and should be valued. Did you stop to think about the possible reason(s) it may have bitten you? Stress, hunger, fear...if it bit you it did so because it felt threatened...you are bigger than it is, and defending itself is all that it has to save it's life. People that "throw away" animals they cannot care for or know nothing about, for the crime of defending themselves, are the reason there are so many restrictions on keeping them, and there should be. YOU would defend yourself if you felt threatened. It is not the snake's fault, but yours, you are the one who bought it in the first place.
By the way, there is no scientific evidence that a person's gender orientation has anything to do with their knowledge or intelligence.
I don't know why I'm bothering...you are 14, you know everything. :angry:
