In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My amazing dinkers! Caution: Dead snake photos. NEW ADDITIONS TO THE PROJECT!

Oh trust me guys, I'll be posting photos of here of the clutch once I get 'em. I'm pretty excited! Can't wait to see what she throws.

Update: Just got five gorgeous eggs from her! It's amazing how small the females look afterward. I hope her appetite is better this go-around so I can breed her next year. If not, she may be an every other year breeder for me. Still, I'm SO excited! Sixty day countdown to hatching, here we go!

congatulations!

Wow, that's awesome. I hope you get what your looking for here. I don't think you have anything to worry about, I wash mine and the bin good and they begin eating quickly. You have plenty of time, these are early eggs.

Congrats! Just like everyone else, I can't wait to see what your babies look like!! :D Good luck with them!

I'm not much on what most people label dinkers but those two deserve it! I can't wait to see what pops out. Hope it proves genetic for you :)

Regards,

B

Well congrats on 5 egss (pics?) and hope she proves out for you.

I didn't snap any photographs while she was laying, I was too excited! But here are her week-old eggs. All five look great! Ignore the temperature reading on the thermometer, I have it there for scale. It's 88-90 degrees in the incubator.

Thanks for the comments everybody! I doubt anything too special will show up with this first generation, but you never know!

I have some good news, and some very, very sad news. The good news is that the stripe seems to be heritable (dominant, even!), the bad news is that one of the eggs pipped too early and died. What a real bummer. After waiting two years for this breeding and then the first egg dies. The baby looked almost identical to its mother. The other four eggs are looking good, so here's hoping they'll be a lot healthier than their sibling. I hope I get a couple of stripes out of them!

Here are some photos of the deceased hatchling. I'm using links because some people may be squeamish.

The one that died was a male. *sniff* The other eggs aren't due for another week. Here's hoping!
