    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I realize that this is taking excessive liberty with the BOI, and will likely be relocated elsewhere, hopefully without warning points assessed. But earlier this morning, my dog Kelby gave me another of his wonderful reptile moments (see picture). He gave one of his "I found something" yelps, and this is exactly as I found things. So, as reptile deals go, this only cost me some dog food, and I am exceedingly satisfied. Keep it up Kelby !! By the way, the dog was called off, and the critter went about its way. Kelby has also provided me with great photo opportunities in the past by finding coachwhips, hognose, racers, corns, and gopher tortoises. Would recommend a reptile dog to anyone!

I give Shelby my vote to be Good Guy certified! Great post Jim. I had a dog that would watch my line for me while I was fishing. He would sit for hours staring at the pole and if that pole so much as twithced he would go mad. I jsut wish I could humans as faithful as a good ol mutt!

YAY DOGS! :) My dog is my baby, and if I may say so, a little more cuddly than my snakes, not to say that I don't love them... :) Yay snakes too..

Thank you both for the kind (and fun!) words on this Football Sunday !! I am hoping that the mods have a sense of humor this morning .... not that they don't, but you know what I mean. Ron, that dog of yours sounds like man's best friend, for sure! To Kelby's credit, he has never tried to hurt a reptile, as he knows they are not in the feline family. I'm hoping he turns up an indigo some day, which will also be left alone for sure, but would make for some great pictures.

Its always good when dogs and snakes get along. ;)

Well, it lasted about two hours, and at least there is still a link to it in the BOI. After a raucous start this morning on the BOI, I just wanted to lighten things up a bit. While I often participate in threads there, it can get a little too nauseating at times.

Thanks Jim and I wish, he was one of my rescues and oh that dog, he had me by the heart strings, thank god he went to a good home and to where I can see him a few times a month!

Hey Rana,
Yes I did know that, but only because one of my daughters, who gave me the dog, speaks Arabic. She has a friend from Morocco, who joked that many of the Arabs name their dog "Dog", and get a kick out of it ! So we're getting a kick out of it here too !! It provides some comic relief when people tell me "Kelby ! What kind of a stupid name is that ?". Thanks again !

haha..noo its a cute name..for those who understand...we call puppies bobi...for future reference..haha...wow...your daughter learned to speak arabic..props to her...its a very difficut language to learn...especially if her friend is morrocan...thats the MOST difficult dialect of all!!! i speak arabic fluently and sometimes i can barely communicate with them in that dialect...
