    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My dwarf jackson's was chillin outside in her favorite tree gettin some sun, when a yellow wasp flew by, she snapped her tongue out and grabbed it. After she ate it she turned a little darker. Is this okay???

im no cham expert but usually they get darker in a mood of stress frustration, or anger this is just a geuss but more than likely your cham was stung in its mouth during the process of eating that wasp.....

Ryan,
You need to check it's mouth and see if there is a stinger in there. Maybe you dodged a bullet but if you value that Meru you need to be more careful in the future. I know of one particular instance where this ding bat bought a beautiful Ambilobe, back when they were very, VERY expensive and put it outside knowing that there were Wasps around and put it in a shrub to bask. Well guess what? It ate one, got stung and had to be put down. Don't be that guy that learned the hard way and becomes the rediculous example, leave it to the dumb @$$ I just mentioned here. Best of luck and be careful.

I agree with Matt. While it is known to happen in the wild and if you house your chameleons outside with certain precautions (in screen enclosures), in general it wouldn't be something I'd actively be concerned about unless you had large numbers of them around, it is definately something you should try to avoid. If she wasn't in an enclosure, you might consider putting her in one from now on. Obviously this will help keep harmful insects out and prevent her from escaping. Unless you are sure no pesticides are being used in the area, you probably don't want her eating wild insects anyway. Has she colored back up to normal or shown any more signs of stress/problems since eating it?
