In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My experience w/Rodent Pro

It's not about who you are with Rodent Pro. On my very first, fairly large order with RP I went the cheaper route with shipping and chose Greyhound. The bus came and went right through my town and down to San Diego before they realized their mistake. Greyhound had my package at local terminal the following morning, but it was still one day late.

I had ordered many different sizes and I was surprised that all except the pink mice were still frozen upon arrival. I did however contact RP the same day and guess what happened to me...... a very small time person w/no prior experience with them. RP immediately shipped me out replacement pinks at no cost to me. They didn't ask for anything from me and got the replacement pinks out right away.

So, on my very first order, there was a problem which they had no control over but they very graciously sent replacement and thanked me for my order. There customer service was as great as it could possibly be when they were confronted with a problem.

I think your rant does nothing to discredit RP services and/or product but instead makes you look silly because of your lack of communication with them to give them a chance to do the right thing. I believe they are an awesome company to do business with....... but I don't think they're mind readers!

Save the conspiracy theories, Mulder.

Most are addressing the fact that you didn't give feedback to the company to see if they would addressed the situation. If they are a bad company, then you are a bad customer. You didn't tell them a thing and as such gave them no recourse to work things out and compensate you.

Posting your experiences WITHOUT giving this feedback to Rodent Pro doesn't benefit the company or customers. Negative feedback drives changes and by you being silent they don't get as accurate of a picture about their operations as they would if you had addressed your problems with them.

No one is saying that you didn't have these negative events happen, it is the handling of them that many disagree with.

Alan

It amazes me that you just don't seem to get it. You seem to think you are getting flack for speaking your mind....you aren't. You seem to think that you are being ganged up on and conspired against by the "Good old Boys" network...you're not.

No one is calling you a liar or actually doubting that you had problems with the two orders. The only two points of contention are

1. The way you handled the situation with the seller

and

2. Your lousy attitude

You had a problem with a seller from something purchased on line. Big deal. it happens a lot. The measure of whether it is ultimately a good deal or a bad one is in how the seller handles the problem. In your first order, one of the items was too big. You immediately assume that they did it intentionally (can you say paranoid?) Since it was the first time that you had ordered from them it could just as easily have been due to your lack of familiarity with the weight they assign to a large rat. Trust me, there is a big variation between rodent vendors on that point. You then simply call it a bad deal and do not give them a chance to fix the problem which, from personal experience, I can tell you they would have done immediately.

Your second order arrived and the dry ice had already melted. Their fault? definitely. They ship all over the country to different climates and I am sure the amount of dry ice gets misjudged once in a while. The package arrived late which obviously exacerbated the problem. Your fault? Not at all. The problem now is that instead of acting like an adult you stamped your feet, cried "Bad Deal" and then let it fester and nag at you for a year rather than contacting them and letting them fix the problem. That particular boil erupted in this ridiculous thread

Then we are treated to that delightful "My world should operate without mistakes and I am not responsible for dealing with any problems that arise" attitude you seem to ooze.

No one doubts your story Alan. You have just shown yourself to be such an unpleasant arrogant whiner that none of us care.

These are the facts

I gave a rundown of two experiences I had with RodentPro.

The first one I was given the wrong size XXlarge when I ordered large. It just so happens the large were on the "fire sale" and I truthfully believe I was given whatever just cause they didnt have anymore large. I couldnt use XXlarge, kept them for awhile then threw them out.

I decided to give Rodent Pro a second chance awhile later and I oredered more rats, being careful NOT to order from the fire sale. This time my order was late, it was packedd with NO dry ice and many of the rats had thawed and I desposed of these in the trash also.

These are the facts. I have every right to put them out there for unknowing potential customers to read and evaluate for themselves whether I am telling the truth or not. I was up front about the fact that I didnt bother to call, I feel I shouldnt have to micro-manage my order - I GO ELSEWHERE PERIOD. First time shame on them, next time shame on me - there will be NO third time.

Too bad if you dont like it...

It is out there for people to judge for themselves...

It doesn't matter how many times you post the same reply Alan. It still makes you out to be nothing but a petulant crybaby.

- I GO ELSEWHERE PERIOD.

I, for one, think this is the best idea you have put forth on this thread

Several people..

Several people called me a liar.

The dry ice did not melt, there was NO foil...

They didnt bother to pack it with dry ice. They didnt care or were incompetant...take your pick...

I did not get it sent Grey Hound and it was late.

What you have here are a bunch of insiders, that are all buddy with each other from shows etc.., know each others first names and attack anyone who dares to speak out.

They are the ones with the secret lists and the conspiracies...

I ask you that if they will shout me down for speaking out for myself, or anyone else who even hinted at taking my side, what does that tell you about them?

If they collude about this, I ask you what recourse do you think YOU would have if you bought a het or something else from one of them and it turned out to be a rip off? Tey would call you the liar too, and then back each other up....

Now that you said it wasn't Greyhound, post the tracking number so we can see that it actually was late. Time to put up or shut up.

Think about it.
I think you are a sick man for whom a psychiatrist might be helpful.

For the record, I believe that I have met only one other poster on this thread in person (John Schmitt), and I have never met or spoken with the owners of RodentPro. I have spoken on the phone with two other posters, briefly, one time each, that I can think of. There is no conspiracy here. There is you being a customer who expects perfection or nothing. What would you do if the brand new car that you just bought had an engine failure during the warranty period? Would you junk it and speak poorly of them or would you bring it in for warranty service, with its inherent inconveniences?

How about this? With your refusal to answer some specific and easy questions I will be the first to say that I don't believe that the order was packed with no dry ice. If that were the case all of the rodents would have been completely thawed, not partially thawed, especially since you claimed that the order was a "day late" and delivered on a "very warm day". RodentPro packs things well enough that they can be delivered to the desert and still be frozen as many here have attested. They aren't perfect but they didn't single you out for persecution despite your obvious delusions to the contrary. But then that's all part of the conspiracy that you mentioned above, eh?

Oh, and for the record, semi-thawed rodents can generally be re-frozen and used. If they are semi-thawed then they are also semi-frozen and that means that the meat never warmed up enough to have spoiled.

And I will join those several people right now. RodentPro NEVER ships without dry ice. If they had, the entire order would have been thawed and stinking after three days in transit.

Congratulations...you have just graduated from simply obnoxious to full fledged liar

Two of my experiences ordering rats online....

Open minded consumer. The following is a description of the two experiences I had buying rats from Rodent Pro. Other people have had different experiences. Please read everything that is out there on the subject, and make your OWN decisions about where to buy from before you spend your hard earned money.

Best wishes my fellow consumer.

OK, so now you wont buy from RodentPro-now go away. I feel sorry for anybody that deals with you.
I live in Southern Arizona. I use to order all my orders via Greyhound and most of the time they were late. 2 days one time, it was re-routed here and there. This was in the summer 100 degrees plus. Most of the dry ice had melted, but there was still some. some of the smaller stuff was still very cold but just starting to thaw. It was still very useable. anything above a weanling rat was still frozen solid.
I called rodentpro and to inform them about the carrier mishap. They sent me a entire replacement order, no questions asked.
It's entirely your fault that you did not make a simple phone call. It would have been much quicker to call them versus making a bad guy post about somebody who has good customer service.
I no longer use rodentpro I raise my own rats and buy my mice from another supplier. However when they have their huge sale i buy alot. I cannot produce some of my rats for the price they sell them for during the big sales.

Let there be no doubt about this. I am calling you a liar. I DON'T believe anything you say. If I had to gander a guess, I would say even your last name is a lie. Call it a hunch but I think your last name is spelled more like Moran then it is Moragnsk. Just post your invoice without the mark outs. Prove that you're not a liar Alan. Prove it.

I think your whole story stinks worse then a box of RodentPro rats that did not get shipped with dry ice, although I doubt that's ever happened.

Dear fellow consumer..

I vented my frustrations last night over a couple orders I had made in the last year from Rodent Pro. I have given an HONEST rundown of wht happened to me, so others can read this, along with other posts about this subject, and hopefully make the right decision (for themselves)n on where to buy (or not) rats from.

I may not have handeled things the same way others might? I handeled them the way that was best for me and my situation at the time. What I can tell you is my story is true. I layed the facts out for you to read and decide for yourself...

I am not the one casting dispersions on other people for their posts.

Please read everything available and make a decision for yourself. I would like to say, in my defense, that many on here are buddies with each other. They do shows and trade snakes and rats and stuff. I understand why they attack me just for telling the truth about what happened to me. It doesnt make it right, but I understand. Please dont hold this character assault on me against anyone. I am a big boy and I can take it. Reveiw all the facts, taking all the relationships and insider stuff, along with what I may or may not have done into account when making your decision of where to spend your hard-earned money.

:iagree: :iagree: :iagree:

God Bless the pyramid..

Alan,

I know you as much as I know anyone on this thread. I do not frequent shows and do not sell many herps. I would like to thank you for your honest and truthful rundown of what happened to you. I have read very carefully the facts you have laid out before me so that I may decide for myself.

Based on these facts alone, and without taking into account the character assault you have had to endure from these conspiring collaborators, I have decided that you are, without a doubt in my mind, a complete nut job, surpassed only by the nut job that would ever elect to do business with you in the future.

Take care,
A Fellow Consumer

Ok Alan I'll say this slow so you can understand.....

I don't think your a liar..... Just a moron.

Businesses are run by people. People are not perfect and mistakes do happen. Good businesses step up when things go wrong and fix any problems. If you would have taken the time to call them (about 5 min.), you would see that they would have fixed it.

You put your side of the story out for all to see..... Well, all will see that you NEVER contacted them to see if they would fix any problems. So, all will see you for what you are (look up 2 paragraphs).

Forgot to add.....

You keep saying that your second order arrived a day late with NO dry ice and half frozen rodents.

After 3 days on a warm bus ride I would think that any order sent without dry ice would be completely thawed. More likely the order was sent with dry ice that had sublimed after the 3 day trip. I wouldn't expect you to understand that though.

Once you mention insider and inner circle, etc. you come across someone not in touch with reality. That alone lessens your credibility to alot of us.

Is that a flying saucer behind you? Maybe its powered by dry ice and stole it from your rodent pro shipment...

zefdin... I've got one question for you. Why didn't you contact Rodent Pro about your order mishap?

I almost fell out of my chair on this one...wow...great post. I am still laughing and its not just the booze! Dan M.

Oh and as far as this inner circle goes lol!!!!!! I have been eaten alive by some of the people on here and you dont hear me crying about it. There is no secret fauna society circle jerk here(I'll will probably take some points for that...oh well). You made yourself the fool and were called out, deal with it. Have a nice life, with yourself and your little tin foil hat so that the aliens cant hear you. Dan M.
