I vented my frustrations last night over a couple orders I had made in the last year from Rodent Pro. I have given an HONEST rundown of wht happened to me, so others can read this, along with other posts about this subject, and hopefully make the right decision (for themselves)n on where to buy (or not) rats from.

I may not have handeled things the same way others might? I handeled them the way that was best for me and my situation at the time. What I can tell you is my story is true. I layed the facts out for you to read and decide for yourself...

I am not the one casting dispersions on other people for their posts.

Please read everything available and make a decision for yourself. I would like to say, in my defense, that many on here are buddies with each other. They do shows and trade snakes and rats and stuff. I understand why they attack me just for telling the truth about what happened to me. It doesnt make it right, but I understand. Please dont hold this character assault on me against anyone. I am a big boy and I can take it. Reveiw all the facts, taking all the relationships and insider stuff, along with what I may or may not have done into account when making your decision of where to spend your hard-earned money.

Well...I will tell you this...I haven't dealt with, nor do I know, 100% of the people that posted in this thread...and I am certainly not a member of the club you speak of...saying all that...you are acting like an idiot and handled things very badly and now you are pouting about it. Getting ready to order rats next few weeks - feedback please..

In lieu of the last two bad experiences I had when I ordered from Rodent Pro, (incorrect sizes XX-large instead of Large on "Hot Deal" items and no dry ice, resulting in spoiled weanling rats), I have decided to give another rat vendor a try.

Has anyone ever ordered from any of the following rodent vendors:
*Note: All prices approximate based on quantity.

Colorado Rocky Mountain Rodents - *Med. Rats $1.50 / Lg Rats $2.00.

Mice Direct - *Med Rats $1.20 / Lg Rats $1.70

Big Cheese - *Med Rats $1.35 / Lg Rats $1.90

I am trying to calculate what each of the vendors charges for shipping now, I figure around $50 - $80 for an average order (1box).

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend calling them to ask, but that's not the way you do things. I guess that's too much work for you? Maybe a waste of time?

If you want feedback on a company, use the BOI search function or start a new thread for that particular company. Don’t ask for feedback for a company on the thread of another. What I can tell you about all three is they all are capable of making the same mistakes Rodent Pro makes. The question is, are you man enough to work it out with them if mistakes are made or are you going to start another bad guy thread? If any one of these companies are following this thread, I wouldn’t be surprised if they chose to refuse your business.

I am ready, like before to put hard earned cash on the barrel head, thats why I am asking for feedback (hopefully good!!), or if anyone has had any nightmare experiences with any of these rodent suppliers I have listed, please give me a "heads-up"?

I was just checking if anyone has ordered from anyone of these three, or any others they care to mention?

I would like to order enough to take me through the busy summer months, but - as you can imagine..I am a little apprehensive about placing a large order at this time....

Boy!! Should it be so difficult to get someone to throw a 1 or 2 hundred frozen rats in a box, and get it right the first time...or even the second??

Thats why I would really appreciate some feedback on these guys...Thanks again.

I think I am going to go with a very small outfit. Maybe I will pay a little more, but I guess these smaller rodengt suppliers may have a vested interest in getting even the smaller orders such as mine correct.

Also Rand, as far as your suggestion of going with Rodent Pro..

I have had two experiences with them....

The first one I was given the wrong size XXlarge when I ordered large. It just so happens the large were on the "Hot Deal" and I truthfully believe I was given whatever just cause they didnt have anymore large. I couldnt use XXlarge, kept them for awhile then threw them out.

I decided to give Rodent Pro a second chance awhile later and I ordered more rats, being careful NOT to order from the fire sale. This time my order was late, it was packed with NO dry ice, I know this because the foil that RP packs the dry ice inside of was missing??? Many of the rats had thawed and I had to despose of these in the trash also.

It is my personal belief that I shouldnt have to micro-manage my order - I GO ELSEWHERE PERIOD. First time shame on them, next time shame on me - there will be NO third time.

That is why I am trying to get some feedback on one of the smaller Rodent selling outfits..

Any suggestions Randy would be greatly appreciated.
