Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My First Beardie

Hello

Hello Amber!

Oh sorry! That is too bad you don't get to cook. This year, we are just going out somewhere because my hubby has to be in early to work the next morning, so why bother. It sounds like everything is all spread out with you also. I hope you enjoy the day anyway, just a little bit.
Toby would probably love a stuffed bear! LOL I can see it now, him cuddled up on it over night. :D

Tracie

I couldn't find any stuffed bears. BUT, in the dog toy aisle, they had these fleece like chew bones. It has a squeak toy inside of it, but I can take it out if it bothers him, but I figured he could use it as a pillow. It's sitting inside his stocking now awaiting St. Nick's day. hee hee....I also picked up this really awesome red velour/fleece fabric, I'm making him a hat and a cloak for when he gets his picture with Santa. It's going to look AWESOME on him. And it'll keep him nice and warm.

His crickets came today too. I'm shocked, they were mailed out on Monday, it's only Wed. So tomorrow, he's going to have an HUGE feast as well. hee hee

Hello

Hello Amber!

Great you got him a little toy for christmas already. He will love that!
Oh now I can hardly wait to see his hat & suit for his pictures with Santa. That is going to be so cute isn't it?
Great his crickets came yesterday! So now he can have a thanksgiving feast today! LOL A cricketfest day!
Happy Thanksgiving today. :D

Tracie

Happy Thanksgiving to you too. Wish I could do something with this dog. Now I remember why I fell in love with reptiles more so than furry animals. This dog tore up one of our snowmen decorations from our door, and it pooed all over the floor in front of the door.

Looking for a friend that has a kennel I can borrow or even a gate. Have half the mind to tie her up outside while gone at work, but since she's an inside dog, and it's cold, I don't have the heart. *sigh* So, I know of somebody who has a kennel I can borrow, just a matter of getting ahold of her by tomorrow morning so I can pick it up before I go to work.

I think I'll start on his costume tomorrow while at work...although, if any of our candy arrives for Christmas, I might not have time to do much.

Hello

Hello Amber!

Oh good luck with the messy dog! Is she nice though, I hope? Dogs & cats are messy aren't they? We have an older cat, he is 16 & he is such a pain sometimes.
Yeah, she would get too cold since she isn't used to it. I hope you find a kennel for her while you are gone during the day.
Have fun sewing Toby's little costume! It will look so cute. It shouldn't take very long though.
Where did you order the candy from?

Tracie

They make their candy. They have 2 stores, one where I live, and one in Missouri. So, they make it all in the store at Missouri, then boss lady drives it down to our store as we need it.

No, his costume won't take long at all. I'm excited.

The dog has finally stopped pooing on our floor....but she still gets into our trash. No kennel, we have just come to the conclusion that we shut every door we have, and she has free range of kitchen and living room. Especially since she has proved she won't potty on our floors. I've also taken the initiative to put her food and water bowl up if I'm going to be gone more than a couple hours.

Toby is doing something pretty weird lately....he gets to the tip top of his branches, then he stands on his back legs, and JUMPS to the top of the cage and clings himself to the lid...is that normal? I mean, he gets his front claws through the grates and just dangles there. Then, when he falls, he gets mad and glares at the lid for about a half hour or so.

Here are some photos of Toby and Julie together. Hopefully soon, I'll have pictures of him in his Santa suit. The glue is drying on his cloak, and I have it sewn into place so if the glue doesn't hold, at least it's secure.

Then after that, it's time to make his hat. :D I can't wait.

Hello

Hello Amber!!

Ah, great pictures... Very cute! Julie looks very docile, as well. Is she curious too, she seems like it. Great you have her trained where she wont go potty on the floor now! That was pretty fast though.
So Toby likes to run, jump & play & swing like tarzan! That is pretty funny that he blackbeards & sulks when he falls. I suppose that he pouts for awhile afterwards huh? What a crazy little dragon!
He sure has grown alot since you first posted pics of him. :D
That is awesome the little christmas suit is almost ready. That will be so cute on him! He is so spoiled, isn't he?
The candy sounds really really good!

Talk soon!
Tracie

I THOUGHT I had her trained. *sighs* I walked in this morning and she had not only pooed on the floor, but she peed in the kitchen as well. She's used to a fenced in yard that she can run around in all she wants, so being on a leash and having to go potty is weird to her. She's very modest apparently.

Toby is more curious that her. She could care less what's going on, but Toby, he's on it if it catches his eye. I can't WAIT to put the outfit on him. I hope it keeps him warm too. I will post pictures of him in it once it's done and when he sees Santa. :D So, then, it is NORMAL that he is jumping and clinging to the top of the cage?

Hello

Hello Amber!

Oh no, Julie made another mess huh, that is too bad. UGH!!
That is funny that Toby is more curious than Julie is. It is very normal that he jumps & hangs around on the top like that. Have you ever noticed that at the petstores they do that? He is just having fun. As long as he can't burn himself on anything, or fall on anything sharp, he will be fine. It gives him some exercise. :D
That little outfit will be so cute. I hope he will wear it long enough to get pictures! LOL It should keep him warm a little bit anyway. I wonder what they will think when you take him up there for pictures?

Tracie

They might laugh, lets' hope that Santa is afraid of lizards.....I mean, it's a Pet Picture with Santa, so you would think they'd find a Santa who isn't afraid of any animals or can at least tolerate the ones they are afraid of.

I think I'm going to buy him one of those toys I saw on ebay when he gets his new cage. This lady makes little jungle gym type toys out of fleece and other things for Bearded Dragons.....if it's exercise and fun he wants, then that's what he'll get. :D

It'd make an AWESOME Christmas gift too now that I think about it. When I first looked at them, I didn't think too much of them, since his cage isn't big enough for it, but now that he'll be getting a bigger one, I'm really thinking about it, even if he only uses it outside of his cage until he gets his new one. :D

Hello

Hello Amber!

Ha, yeah that would actually be kind of funny if santa is scared of lizards! Hopefully if he is, he will be a good sport about it though. He will most likely love him though!
That sounds like alot of fun for him, those jungle gym type of toys for him to climb around & play on! Exercise is great for him, plus, it will help keep him from getting too bored also!
Toby is a lucky little boy. :D

Tracie

It would be awesome, but I couldn't find anymore. :( I'm going to keep looking though. It gets customized in colors of choice, but I plan on just telling her to use colors for a boy. :D It comes with a hammock type thing at the bottom of it for him to lay in. :D I hope I find it again.

There was this place advertising a thing for pets to get their pictures with Santa on the radio, but they added "this is limited to cats and dogs only" at the end. haha

Julie goes home on Saturday, gonna miss her. :(

Hello

Hello Amber!!

Oh too bad you couldn't find any of those toys for him! Maybe eventually you will run into some soon, for Christmas.
How cool, it had a hammock thing on the bottom too? I hope you find it again, that would be awesome. He is getting very spoiled. Then, next year you will get him a good UVB light, too.
Oh most places only do pics for cats & dogs not lizards!! That is ok, you will get Toby's picture with Santa at the petstore. I told my hubby about it & he said good luck getting it all on him! LOL

Tracie

Well, the pictures went real well! I walked in with the cage and Toby in it, Harmony had Julie and her leash. They took one look at the cage and I said "Please tell me this isn't limited to just cats and dogs" and one of the young guys there started laughing and said "No" then looked at the guy dressed as Santa.

I got 3 pictures total, 1 of Julie by herself, 1 of Toby by himself, and 1 of Julie with Toby on her back. They LOVED Toby! Especially with his little hat. He kept the hat on when he was in his cage, but when we put him by Santa, he didn't keep it on, so no hat. :( And the cloak ended up WAY too big so it's being used as a blanket. That he LOVES so no biggie about it being wasted.

I will get the pictures of him with his hat and cloak on though. Probably tomorrow. :D

I had to use a baby wipe to clean his face off.....he didn't like it at first, then he sat and just let me finish. He had baby food ALL OVER his face. hee hee.

I will post the pictures when they arrive. They will be sending them through e-mail and then I get them in the normal mail too. :D

Hello

Hello Amber~!

I am anxious to see the pictures though! I hope they turned out well. I am glad that the pictures were not limited to just cats & dogs though. :D Was Santa afraid of Toby?
Oh well, so he wouldn't keep the hat on for Santa's pics, no big deal. At least he had red on though, so it looks like christmastime.
He had babyfood all over his face, how adorable! Baby wipes are very convenient for messes like that. LOL

Tracie

Santa might have been a tad uncomfortable, or shocked to say the least....but not so sure if he was afraid.

Toby didn't have any outfit on...:( I mis-judged his length forgetting that he'd just fold his tail up next to him instead of it sitting straight out...so you could barely see him.

I cleaned out his cage really good again yesterday, switched things around some. He has more room now, and I think he was trying to dig himself a den before I did all that, so I took his stacking rocks, and used them to make him a small den along with his big rock. I have the Santa "blanket" and his blue blanket at the bottom of it inside. :D He hasn't gone in there yet, so no idea if he likes it or not.

Hello

Hello Amber!!

That is funny that Santa might have been a little scared of poor Toby. Too bad he didn't get to wear a little outfit. I am sure that the pictures will still look very nice though! :D
I hope that he likes his new setup in his tank. He will get used to the rearranging soon though! I am sure that he will find his den too. That is cool you put his Santa blankie & a blue blankie on the bottom of the tank. I bet he loves that. :D
