    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well I did a trade with a person and I did not even think to specify the shipping conditions since they have a good reputation. I do not have a problem with them, but rather my beef is with DHL. I always use UPS or Fed Ex and have only received cricket shipments or non-perishable items by DHL.

I stayed home yesterday to receive the package. I left the television off so I could hear when they came and was on my computer typing a paper for class. Around 11:45, I checked the tracking on my package to see what was going on, and it says that a delivery was attempted. I certainly did not hear anyone knock on my door and I live in a tiny 2 br. apartment so I would have heard it. I called DHL and they said that they would bring it back later today. I told them it was a live shipment at it was important to get it here as soon as possible. They never tried to redeliver despite also being called by the sender. They even told the sender at one point that they had left the package at the rental office and had tried to call both us, this was a lie.

I waited as long as I could today before I had to go to class, and left a note in bold black marker to leave the package in the rental office. Well I came home 2 1/2 hours later to see the package sitting on my doorstep. It is 38 degrees out right now (it was 70 yesterday). The frogs were ice cold but still alive. I am hoping they are going to be ok. They are starting to move a little more and are warming up. BTW the person I traded with always used UPS before but used DHL because they promised an earlier arrival time. Neither of us will ever use DHL again.

Your probably lucky they were frogs capable of handling that extreme of weather change. Good luck, hopefully they will be hopping around like crazy soon. As far as here, DHL knocks, sets the box at the door, and runs. I have yet to meet one of their drivers.
