• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello Everyone. My name is Baset. I have owned Snakes, Chameleons, Frogs, Monitors, Leopard Geckos, and Iguanas in the reptile category. I also own and train horses, Breed pigeons, and Broad Breated white turkeys for show at southern California fairs. I have recently came up with an idea that would help all of us. Its called www.aniamlsforless.com. it is the only live animal online auction website. you can create stores, post wanted ads, buy, sell , or just look at what people have to offer. You can sell or buy reptiles, amphibians, fish, birds, and certain legal mammals. Check Out Our site, and look for our ad on the top right corner on fauna classifieds. Registration is always free. Please Let me know what you think. Im looking forward to peoples comments. you can email me directly at [email protected]. Or you can respond to this thread! Thank you guys.

First, Welcome to the site.

Not to get in a debate in your introduction thread but

it is the only live animal online auction website.

that is nowhere near close to accurate. There are many setup currently in the same type of format as yours. Many have come and gone over the years as well. There have been a couple a very large ones that have fallen by the wayside. Besides websites that just focus on auctions other sites also offer auctions forums including this site.

Second, I hope you are here to participate on this site not just to post to drive traffic to your site.

Thirdly,

Im looking forward to peoples comments.

I wondering why you would charge sellers a 8% sales tax added to the fee to post if they are from California? They are doing the selling. Your are providing the platform. If they need to collect sales taxes for auctioning animals that is on the individuals and companies. Your not selling a tangible product to them so I don't understand why you would be charging your users a sales tax every time they place a ad on your site even with them being in the same state as you.

Lastly, banner ads can be purchased and there is a forum

New or Updated Websites and Web Resources
http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=467

Those are the places to talk about your website. I understand your making a introduction here but please use that forum and banner ads to promote your website.

Use the rest of this site to participate on this forum.

Again, welcome and good luck with your endeavors.

By the way, I also breed heritage turkeys. Not to show but to consume.
