W MI Reptile Expo
New member
Well everybody, I guess its about time I got around to this! (Thanks for reminding me Lee)
My name is Zack Gedmin, I'm 28 and live in Muskegon Michigan, and have been a herp lover all my life due to growing up with a pond and catching frogs, toads, turtles, and snakes on a daily basis.
A few years ago my wife and I were "hobby" vendors and frequented shows here and there. We even went to the extent of getting an import licence and shipping animals into Chicago. (That was a learning experience!)
Since then I have been divorced and she took all the critters with her (we had over 100 animals at any given time). I have been planning on getting back into the ring for a while now, and I have been planning and putting together a show in West Michigan for about a year now. The event is finally underway, and I hope to build it to a large and successful event over the next year.
My main areas of interest are Frogs, Uros, and Chameleons. I am also relatively artistic and after things are settled with the expo I will get into herp photography and painting, along with herp neon signs dependent upon my contact being willing to work with me on that venture.
So, hopefully before too long I will become a regular at shows again.
Also, on a side note away from herps I am currently going back to school full time to become a lawyer after being laid off from my job working for Alcoa Howmet Castings as a Sr Technician in the NDT department. Hope that's enough info for you all!
Looking forward to meeting people here on the forums and learning a bit more about breeding my herps of choice as time goes by.
