    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My husband and I bought a California Kingsnake about a month ago, and on the day we bought him he ate at the pet store. We brought him home and he rejected a half digested mouse, which wasn't too pleasent. However, since then our snake won't eat. He did go through a shedding phase about 2 weeks ago, which does explain why he wouldn't eat at first but he still won't eat his feeder mice. We've left a mouse in there for the past week, and he doesn't seem happy that the mouse is in his aquarium..but he doesn't want to eat him. What should we do?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! We don't want to lose our new snake :( Thanks again!

this is a Picture of my Cali King but Im still haveing problems Feeding He Just will not eat im also not 100 that he is a Cali king im New to owning snakes but ive been reading and reading trying to learn im to Understand that Daytime Temp should be someplace around 80 to 86 and the night time should be 75 to 80 in the day time im rangeing 83 Degrees night time is 78 Degrees now Ive tryed Different sizes of Mice from the Younger "Hoppers" to the Mature Feeders When We Bought him he was in the middle of eating a Mature Feeder But that was 1 1/2 months ago he Then Refused to Eat soon we seen His eyes with a blue film on them then found out he was sheding also he had a Healthy Shed so im told but like i said Im new But By healthy Shed all his skin came off. then Was told After sheding He will want to eat right away That was 1 week ago. Still has Not eatn ive left the mice in there all night ive even thought maybe the mouse was sick and somehow im an idiot and so i got him another Now i have 2 feeders one male one female still nothing I take them out at night now due to finding out that the mice could possably harm him somehow not sure how that would work but im just learning so what do i know. Ive also Seen that He May Be Nervous due to the new area and there is to Much Happening around him to eat. So i Placed a towel around the front and sides of his cage so that he would feel comfortable still nothing. im now almost 2 months with no feeding and im really worried ive posted on 4 or 5 different websites Called a vet Also called Petco and the store i bought him from no one seems to have ANyidea or so far like other websites no one has replied, I would really be happy for someone to help me out with any advice well hurry Back i dont want him to starve

He looks nice and thick. If he really is a male it's not uncommon that he is not eating. This time of year they only think of girls girls girls.

Don't feed him at all for a week or ten days. Then feed him a dead mouse, not live. If he's not interested wait another week or so and try again.

Several of my boys go a couple of months this time or year with little to no feeding responce.

Could you post a picture of the underside of his tail, from the vent to the tip? That would help to determine if he is in fact a boy.

My guess is it's a boy, but that's not the best pic to guess from. Something more directly from the front instead of at an angle would help.

Either way, I wouldn't worry right now. It looks to be in good shape.

i was compairing the Tail to the Post below About Sexing and He Fits the Male Much More than the female But who knows But thank you for the help im glad i dont have to worry Thanks
