• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

    Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
    Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
    Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

    On July 1, 2027, all paid memberships will be closed.

    On August 1, 2027, FaunaClassifieds will be terminated.

    Only change I expect that might take place is when I can get around to figuring out when the amount of money I would have to refund for the yearly paid memberships becomes less than the monthly expense of leasing my server, THAT date might be the termination date for the site.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

My knob-tail eggs are overdue.. help!!

I have incubated 2 pairs of knob-tail eggs, 2 wheeleri, 2 milii, at 82 degrees in proper conditions. I was told that these eggs usually take 60-70 days to hatch. It's now been close to 85 days on the wheeleri, a week less on the milii. These eggs are definitely fertile, as they have all been candled, and I have even seen dramatic movement inside a few times while candling, so I know at least that baby hasn't died or anything. Is there a point at which I should open these eggs? My instincts tell me no, but I've seen Youtube videos of people doing this with snake eggs, and I'm just wondering if I'm supposed to jump in at some point here. I'm probably just being impatient, but I really don't want my babies to die because they couldn't figure out how to get out of their eggs.. lol. How long is too long of a hatching time?? Thank you guys-

^^ I agree. I had knobtail eggs hatch at around 90 days. I incubated at the same temp range this past season. Longer incubation time often yields larger and more robust babies. Good Luck!
 
Thank you guys so much! Makes me feel a lot better! I will let you know when/if they hatch. Now I just have to stop obsessively checking them. ;)
