    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm sitting here on my laptop trying to put into words what my mom just told me over the phone. My older brother Bob, went to the doctor for a spot on his face and was originally told by his doctor "it's just an age spot" but Bob went to get a second opinion, and they discovered it's cancerous. He has 2 beautiful girls and a wife that loves him, why does this have to happen to him!!!!
He's going to have the growth removed this coming week, and then he'll have to have plastic surgery to fix it. They don't know if it's spread, i'm hoping to god that god will be merciful and have them get it all when they remove the growth.

This is Bob with his youngest Julia, at my house this past Easter.

PRAYER TO ST. ANTHONY
FOR THOSE SUFFERING
OF CANCER

Dear St. Anthony,
you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer.
In your goodness and kindness,
please intercede for Bob
who is suffering from cancer.

If it is God’s will,
I ask that this day,
the gift of healing be granted to Bob.
Comfort him/her during times of unbearable pain,
and ask our Lord to grant him/her peace and patience in suffering.

May God give Bib the fullness of life here on earth,
or call him home to eternal glory forever.

A Prayer to St. Peregrine for Sick Relatives and Friends

O great St. Peregrine,
you have been called "The Mighty",
the "The Wonder Worker" because of the numerous miracles which you obtained from God for those who have turned to you in their need.

For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being.

You turned to God when the power of human beings could do no more,
and you were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His cross
to heal your affliction.

I now ask God to heal these sick persons whom I entrust to you: Bob.

Aided by your powerful intercession, I shall sing with Mary a hymn of gratitude
to God for His great goodness and mercy.

Honey-let the doctors do what they need to.

Their expertise and your brother are all in God's hands, and He will make sure there's a good outcome.
 
There is more than one kind of skin cancer. Pray that it is only basal cell and caught early. My dad had that and they got it taken care if quickly with one small surgery, and one of my co-workers had a more severe case but after losing part of his nose (which plastic surgery fixed) he was fine.

I will pray that he will be okay and that it is not melanoma.
 
Sorry to hear about your brother Christine. I am sure he will be fine. It sounds like it is in a very early stage. I wish all of you the best.
 
Try to stay worry free about this, Christine. My dad has had multiple skin cancer surgeries for his face (they find cancerous spots A LOT), and everything has turned out just fine! I'm sure they found it in ample time! He'll be good as new once the surgery is over! :)
 
I'm so sorry to hear the news, Christine. There is a good chance that a minor surgery will fix this, it worked for my Granddad. Your brother, Bob, his family and you are all in my prayers!
 
Update

My brother had his surgery, and he's resting at home. The area was larger than they anticipated, but hopefully they got all of it. Thanks for all the well wishes guys, i really appreciate it, and the prayers:)

They are definitely running the show right now,if they don't like what i'm eating, they sure let me know in a hurry:rofl::rofl::rofl: But the ginger snaps and the saltines do help during the day, especially at work. My desk drawer has boxes of both items in it at the moment. Even with the morning sickness and the heartburn and all the other symptoms, i love being pregnant:D:D

So glad to hear you are doing well with your pregnancy! :D Never knew that ginger snaps (or mint) would help nausea. Good info guys. :)
