In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I noticed your water lines go up, down, up, down... When I built mine I tried to have them either run down or flat. Curious if you have tested the lines and if you get a solid stream of water out of the valves

gravity will cause the fluid to push the fluid...no worries, not the best for pressure but it will work as long as the water lines don't go above the bucket.

i am thinking of breading mice and wanted to know how bad is the smell?? this is going to be my firist year breading ball pythons and i want to keep the cost of there food down if i can..

If you keep them in a garage or something... not so bad. I wouldn't keep them in the house. Mice are not bad, rats however stink it up much faster IMO!

you got it backwards...mice stink worse than rats

I use baking soda under the bedding to lower smell.

easiest way is to just breed asf or gerbils....both smell much less than mice.

yes my water system works just fine. Had to bleed the lines to get the air out for all is good.

i breed both in my house and mice do stink alot more. i have to change there bedding every 3 days so it dont stink

I used to breed gerbils on a wholesale level. The only problem is that they don't do well in a colony set up and the female only produces about six babies a month.

You also need to keep them paired for life because they are prone to not getting along if introduced as adults.

you are correct, I have mine 1.2 and they produce normally 6-7 per female

mice don't normally do well mixing them up once colonized either.

I disagree lol! My arguement might be because rats are larger and release more waste and it qucikly begins to stink. I have to change the litter pan at least twices as much. Maybe mice do stink more however Rats produce more waste and the smell gets worse quicker! IMO.

Hey Paul, sweet rack. I built a couple of these not to long ago and while doing so I noticed a couple things I didn't like about it. I had to change the width of the frame to 20 1/2" and change the spacing for the runners to 3/4" and the space between the shelves to 8" to save on some space. It cut a foot off the total hight of the rack by cutting 2" from each level. I just thought I would put a couple cents in to try and help anyone I can. I do have a question about the way you ran your water though. Do you have enough pressure on the first nipple? I ran mine to the bottm and tee'd off on the way back up to ad pressure but it still doesn't have alot of preesure.

yes everything is fine with the water lines. i hold the dripper in for a sec and water just sprays out so i know they are getting plenty of water. i noticed they are drinking about a gallon a day
