    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello we went to look at my beardie today and his arm is limp and he appears to have a small hump on his lower back right by the tail. No vet can tell me whats happening when I call nor give me any info. He is about 4 months old and I want to know if the limbs can be fixable or I'd just like to get any info I can.

Robert I think that you may have to take the beardie in to the vet, I don;t think they will be able to tell you what caused this by just hearing the description over the phone. How old is your son, does he remember any recent events that may have contributed to the lizard's condition? Do you have cats, dogs or other critters that might have injured the beardie?

I agree with Lucille. You need to bring the baby to a vet. A simple phone call won't do. It will probably need an x-ray to determine if a bone was broken. Broken bones are usually the result of falling or being attacked by another animal. Cat's, dogs, other lizards, excited children, etc, etc......

Good luck and let us know what you find out. :)

What you have described could also be impaction. With severe impaction paralysis of the limbs can occur. A small hump on the lower back near the tail is another classic sign. I agree that a vet check is in order. In the meantime, try soaking him in warm water to help him relieve himself if it is indeed impaction. Make sure the basking temps are in the 110 - 115 *F range.

Not that I disagree with but I have never seen an impacted animal only have one limb effected. Usually it's both of the hind legs not just one arm. :shrug01: I suppose anything is possible though....... Either way an x-ray is in needed to determine what's going on with your baby.

I just saw the "limbs" part myself. Lol. Your guess is as good as mine. :)
