    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Mystic vs. Mojave?

I'm wanting to get into Mystics and I would like to learn the difference between the Mystic and Mojave (visually). I have been searching all around trying to find something definitive or someone to talk to to no avail. All I have found is that they are like a cross between a normal and a Mojave. Thanks for reading!!
 
I'm curious about this also.. I've been in the market for a mystic but I'm not sure how to distinguish them from a mojave.. I mean there is an obvious difference but most of the mystics I see are exactly that, right in between a normal and mojave. I'd definatly purchase from a reputable breeder.
 
So no one knows the genetic markers for a mojave? I guarentee you that someone knows but isn't saying anything because that would take away business if everyone knows how to identify them!

I own Phantoms, Mystics, and Mojaves. I have some of each. Mojaves have a belly like a yb. Clear belly with checkered belly sides. The phantoms and the mystics have pattern on the belly and have more of dark tan/green look to them. I have a Mojave that looks like a Mystic/Phantom but the belly is off. I have a Mystic that looks like a Mojave but it has belly pattern. That is the one thing I have noticed :) I hope this helps a bit.

No Problem. I hope this helped some of you guys. Now the difference between a Mystic and a Phantom is tough. I personally think they are the same morph different lines. They both vary a lot just like Mojave and Lessers vary between themselves. Thanks

We need side to side comparison pics! :D I've seem some mojaves "probable" mystics for sale since they look so similar but I didnt want to take my chances on those
 
I will try to get some pics asap. Most of everyone is breeding or about to lay. I will see what I can do :) Maybe a I will post a thread guess what I am. You guys can tell me what you think they are.

Man i have been waiting for a thread like that. I to want a mystic but didnt know the diff between a mojave and a mystic.

So ur saying if we breed a Phantom to a mojave we should get something similar to the Mystic potion?
 
Mystic x Mojave is the Mystic Potion
Phantom X Mojave is the Phantom Potion aka Purple Passion
Mystic/Phantom X Het. Russos is the Opal Diamond
Mystic/Phantom X Lesser is the Karma
Mystic/Phantom X Mocha is ? Maybe an Opal Diamond looking snake
Mystic/Phantom X Special is the Mystic Crystal

Those three genes can not express at the same time. You can only have two at the same time. The gene sits on the same allele so you can only have either a Mojave/Phantom, Mojave/Mystic, Mojave/Mojave, Mystic/Phantom, Phantom/Phantom, or Mystic/Mystic. The genes sit on the same allele so it can only be two of these genes showing not three.
