i have been talking to someone who wants to take a proactive part about people like this. as you can see from my sig i have added a little something. to me that is the first step and i would like to ask you all to take that step with me. the more people that have a sig like that the more people find out who we do not want to buy from ourselves. if in the very end we discourage a few people then it would be worth it.
gecko geek i agree with you. there are many people who think that owning one would be the same as owning many just on a larger scale but when you get down to it it is very different. i myself buy 3000 crickets every other week to make sure my bearded dragons have crickets to eat. i buy greens every week to make sure they have greens to eat as well. while for one bearded dragon it seems fine but when you have a dozen mouths to feed in the same capacity it adds up. they do not understand that until they get to this point. if sticole is at that point then surely she will have to know that. it is easy to breed it is everything else that adds up and many people understand that is where you fail.
i haven't said this since others have but upon viewing her pics it is obvious that she cleaned her tanks more than what is done on regular occasions. like cleaning your home before having guests. you knew they were coming so you took the extra time to make sure everything looked clean. the only diff is everyone here knows the diff from tanks kept up to date and those that were clean only for pics. I am very sure that is what has happened. you do not have clean reptile carpet if there were used regularly. you also wouldn't out it through the washing machine because you want to make sure there is no residue from the detergent. that would cause problems. i have hand washed reptile carpets and it not come out that clean. also many people know that reptile carpet can cause circulation to cut off if it wraps around a juvies' toe leading to missing toes or joints. most people want to sell while dragons, no nips or anything that looks like nips to get top dollar. i don't believe that carpets cause it but i don't want to risk it. but if you are in it for the money you want to cut things down to the lowest common denominator to make sure things come out on your end. also if a bearded dragon gets hungry they may take the fake plants as food and try to eat them leading to impaction if they can bite chunks off. another problem that can be avoided. many people do not approve of fake plants in any plant eating lizard, tortoise, or turtle to make sure that does not happen. if you truly keep fake plants in you tanks it shows what little you care. dragons will eat what they can and when they can. they think on a lower level and on that level it is eat and breed. eat what you can and breed when you can. by letting your dragon be in the same vicinity as a fake plant you may as well feed it fake plants. all it takes is one hungry bearded dragon to think that the plant you have provided is real and it will try to eat it. i might still be going through vet school but i am no novice on that part. just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean it won't happen. that is like saying just because you haven't gotten an STD it doesn't mean they don't exist. a harsh simile i know but in the end it means the same thing. bearded dragons can die from eating a plant they don't know it is good for them, real or fake. you as a breeder should know that as well. i am a breeder and i have seen red eared sliders try to do that. they are on the same levels as bearded dragons when it comes to food. please tell me why you would risk that. for only a pic? if it was only for that then how low you will go to sell is even worst then i thought. it is one thing to sell a sick reptile but it is another to risk allowing them to get sick to prove your own point. if you would go that far then you do not deserve to even clean up behind the very reptiles you claim to care for.
i have said my piece so far. I implore you to take a stand and place some sign such as i have on your signature. it does not matter to me who you are as long as you want to make sure that only truly healthy reptiles are sold in the end. nicole has shown apathy towards the dragons that she has shown and if people were to look upon her and judge us all by her actions we would be damned. the very least we can do is state that we will NOT stand by her. i have done so by placing it in my sig so whatever i post it will show up. if you take that step it would only make it that much harder for her to do anything damaging to our respectable practice. we cannot allow one person whoever they are to make us all look bad.
aside from that i hope everyone has a very happy new year!

I was trying to give Mythical Dragonz the benefit of the doubt (for whatever reason) that he was typing a response. He was on here at least 15-20 minutes ago, but is now gone and still no reply to the questions asked...."What are you going to do about Mike's sick dragon???"
