• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Mythical Dragonz - Stay Away!

Ummmm I already have. I sent out an email to Lea last night to let her know her name is being tossed around and I have not gotten a repsonse. It was even a friendly email to. You'd think that if it was a reptile rescue they would be checking thier communicatons at least in the morning.

They also have a website.... but every page says UnderConstruction. :shrug01:

Im thinking this may be another one of Nicoles ploys at deflection.

Cell number goes straight to voicemail. Odd that a service for Reptile Adoption would not have a message regarding what they do?

Home number has been disconnected.

Nicole.... did you actually think you could fool us

Did you actually think we would take anything you posted at face value

Did you actually THINK!

Something else I would like to point out. At some point in our life we have all scanned a document. How many times do you get a perfectly square scan between two pieces of paper. Like scanning a hand written note, then scanning that with a business card to prove importance. Take Nicoles feebale attempt to post proof.

Look at the top, and right side. The card is completely square with the page. I might buy that.... but there is NO staples in that card to hold it in place and I know from experience.... there is no way to lay a card down on the scanner... and get a perfect square copy when you place a piece of paper over it. It will shift every time.

Something else to note.... look at the text. It is written around the card. Like the card was there before the text.

Makes me think they fabricated a card up and printed it on a piece of paper... then wrote the note on the same piece of paper.

Website2.jpg

Created in April, last updated in June. Virtually no activity since then.

The website is registered to someone in Florida, perhaps a web builder, but I am thinking this rescue is non-active or something because there is no recent info on it at all.

That may just mean he is inactive from Headwebmaster, Inc. He could be free lancing now as it is evident he did create the webpage for that supposed rescue, but nothing but its creation has been done.

Refusing to ship in below zero weather is not "bad customer service," you dolt. It is called doing what is right by the animal, and any idiot that would flat out INSIST on me shipping after I explained the dangers would get an immediate refund, rather than me stuffing a poor animal in a box to potentially suffer, become ill, and die.

I meant to also add that you shipping in substandard weather shows that you care about ONE thing - the money. "How is Akira doing? Blah blah blah..." Good show pretending like you care. If you actually DID care, YOU NEVER WOULD HAVE SHIPPED HER.

ANOTHER point - ANYONE can claim to be a "reptile rescue." There is a lady hear local to me that is a known hoarder, she claims to be a "rescue" but in reality she has all these animals in little tiny cages and just can't stop herself from collecting more. Those of us that actually do rescue and work with the other local groups have her completely blacklisted.

Now, I am not saying that this Reptile Rescue of Erie is for sure NOT a legit rescue organization - and to do so without any proof of such would be wrong and potentially harmful to a person who is doing good in this world.

I do have a couple of questions though...

Is this Reptile Rescue of Erie, PA a 501(3)c non-profit organization? What kind of funding do they receive, and what is their surrender/placement procedure?

Last night I sent Lea an email about that documentation that was posted. On the way to work I got a call from the cell number that was posted on the business card. When I answered the phone a female announced herself as Lea. She did confirm that she wrote that for Nicole. We talked for about 30 minutes. I asked her to respond to my email and requested that she sign the email as well and that I would like to post it here. She said she would. She also claimed that she has only known Nicole for around 2 months. I then informed her to do a little reading here on Nicole to see if she really wants to be associated with her. She claimed the reason the website is not finished is they are waiting on their 503c papers to come in. She is like a lot of us that is working two jobs and the rescue is not the main source of income or business for her. She also told me when she wrote that.

Now I have to ask Steven & Nichole.... when was Lea over at your house and when was that written?

Steven, I asked you for some proof to back-up a statement concerning Mike demanding that you ship to him in conditions that go against your TOS. I just wanted to ask again, in case you forgot.

Do you have proof to back-up your statement??? Afterall, you did put the blame on your customer as the reason for you shipping a dragon in temps that void your own guarantee. I'm sure if a potential customer is reading this, they would like to know if they have to worry about you doing something stupid to make them go through the same thing that Mike has had to go through. Inquiring minds want to know!

I have a suspicious mind. It comes with the territory and where I work for a living. The person on the other end of the phone told me they would shoot off an email basically saying the same thing as the conversation and signing it so I could post it here.

I figured that IF I got a phone call from that number listed and IF I got an email from the addy listed on the card (which matched another addy I found online) then maybe this person was legit.

Guess what..... no email has shown up and I dont really expect it to. The lady on the phone was talking about her smart phone and it being dead and she only got my email after she charged it. If that is the case.. then why not type out a quick email after we ended the call. Or even shortly after. She said she would.

I am sticking to my normal observations about that letter.

Here is the one thing that I do know for sure. I got a call from a lady from the number listed on the supposed card. I have no way of proving it was Lea. For all I know that was Nicole on the other end. I already had my suspicions that the document was fake and it would be real easy to put her own phone number down and pretend to be someone else.

I thought Nicole is from NY? 814 IS a PA area code.

Not saying that Lea is not close with the Nicole party...not going there.

Yep... but in this day and age you can take your number with you anywhere. Did Nicole ever live near Erie Pa. Its really is NOT that far from the NY border.

I have had my number for years and a friend of mine has kept her number across 3 different carriers. :shrug01:

At this point, I'm not making any speculations either side, as I don't have near enough info to do so (concerning the Rescue). That being said, the area code on a cell phone doesn't mean anything. I say that because I have hired MANY people that reside in my state (several of them have been doing so for more than a year) and and still posses a cell phone with an area code for a different state. Obviously that's not enough to say that it was Nichole, but it can't rule her out, either.
