Exceptional Reptiles
I performed a gross necrospy on a female amyae that i lost for unknown reasons. A necrospy should be done at least 24 hours after the animal dies, and the animal should be preserved until then by refrigeration - NOT freezing or preservants (like alcohol). This animal, unfortunately, was frozen and opened up 4-5 days later, so the tissue has changed and cannot tell us anything about the death. It can, however, offer us some insight into what lies beneath thier skin. I have only posted one pic here, you can hit my website to see the rest along with identification of the organs, etc.
enjoy!
